Don't you hate it when ...
You call a repairman to fix something that's been acting up for quiet some time, and the very day they show up everything in the house suddenly decides to start behaving?
Our shower hasn't been draining well for a long time now, it does drain but not right away and considering its just a shower stall and the space hat can be filled with water before it starts spilling out all over the floor isn't very big, that's still a big problem. Just lately we've been noticing the kitchen sink having some of the same problems, and running water in the kitchen causes that same water to bubble up in the bathroom sink.
We let the landlord know, the plumber comes, and oh happy day, everything is cooperating for once.
Grrr....
They come out and tell me the shower is draining fine, we just plunged it. And what, do you think I never did that? Why do you think the plunger is living in the shower? Because we use it about three to five times per shower. Leave it alone a while and it will start fucking off again, why do you think we called you? Give me a little credit, please.
(yeah, I know he has probably seen a lot of stupid people that don't think to try basic things like plunging and draino before calling in the professionals, that's why I'm not really pissy about it; still, I'd like to think I come off as being smarter than that)
Its possible it was just some minor blockage that was taken care of when they ran the snake down the pipe upon first arriving, and there will be no more problems. Of course its also possible that we'll end up having to call them out again.
Still, I hate it when this shit happens. Feel so stupid trying to explain yes there really was a problem, its been doing this for a long time, yes really I don't care what its doing now, I swear!!!!
