In Very Poor Taste

So, today I'm checking through my friend's list, arrive at an entry from the gaybaltimore  community (a mostly dead and boring list, sort of like the real life community itself).

Here is the actual entry, its not locked. For those who don't feel like clicking the link, this is what the entry said:

Support same-sex marriage?

Well, I grew up on government cheese, peanut butter, and that ominous can of government-issued "Pork", so maybe that's why I'm quicker to ask for assistance than spme of my friends ( ... )

Well, after perusing Gavin's interests again, I realised that maybe the pantsuit would only happen if somebody's mother was insisting on it. And that's a big "if", and nobody would be happy about it. And it would be sloshed with wine before the evening's over with. Yes, it now seems very apparent to me that Gavin is a FLAMING butch. [ducks]

Yeah, I never actually looked into those dresses, so meh... I figured I'd get something wrong. You could wear it with your Lane Bryant jeans! I'm sure you pain enough for 'em.

Oh, and it wasn't insanely priced either.

That's cool. And you could wear it again. My gawd, dresses always boggled me.

I blend in at the goth club nicely (with the guys anyway). :-P

Dresses hurt my brain. Female fashion obsession hurts my brain. Try not to think of it.

The entry is bahleeted. I assume the OP flounced.

I agree with you. Now, the caveat is I'm currently on disability assistance (though trying to get off with a proper job), but I also had to hit a really low point to ask. I worked some shit jobs in the past before I went that route. I have a hard time asking for help, in general, and I'm not sure as it's appropriate to ask for funds for a wedding. I can understand to an extent if someone is actually having an emergency and sets up a PayPal or whatever, but to fund someone's wedding? Uh, no. It's called "get married when you have the funds". People can get married without huge elaborate ceremonies. In fact, I avoid attending weddings that are because formal froo-froo dresses make me feel like I'm in drag. (And that's not to say drag can't be fun, but, uh, no.)

Oh, it is gone! Happy day. Here's hoping someone told her off, if it wasn't done by now I was going to do it myself ( ... )
