I did get my ritual for Hermes in this week, so off to a good start so far.
I did it on Wednesday morning an hour before I had to get ready to go to work. The two days leading up to that I left him small offerings with no actual ritual involved. Those three days were very filled with Hermes' presence, and I enjoyed them (even in spite of mundane life's unfortunate little bumps this week). It kind of fizzled out toward the end of the week, I don't know why; maybe next time I should do the ritual toward the end of the week, see if that helps.
My project for the week was writing out how Hermes came into my life. I honestly didn't start out with the idea of having devotional projects for the week, just kind of worked out that way. Probably would be a good idea to write that stuff down now before I forget any more of it (I have tried to write it down before, but my previous attempts fell victim to my insane quest for writing perfection). I suppose I should do something similar for the other two, not that I'd have as much to write but that's probably not the point.
I don't know who will be getting next week, I thought about doing a small divination, flip a rune or something like that.
Anyone know of any small offerings that Odin and Loki generally like? With Hermes I know I can burn a small stick of incense and give him the change in my pocket when I need to do something quick and mostly inexpensive, I could even make him a cup of coffee. What I've looked up so far on the Norse gods just seems to mention alcohol and nothing else (would that I had the money to keep myself so stocked up on alcohol that I can pour it out to the gods every single day, but alas it is mostly a special occasion/maybe once a week thing).
I do now have that entertainment center from Anna, and one of my projects for the weekend (hopefully to be done by then) is to clean that off, set their shrine up and get the temple arranged as the oracle told me to do. Going out on an expedition today to pick up some of the things I still need. Really just worrying about the basics right now, the little stuff like what I got piled on Hermes' shrine will develop in time.
Maybe if I think I have the money left over, I'll purchase another one of those books written and published by people on my friend's list that I need to get. There are so fucking many of those.
