Tetris-Print Pants!

Wow. I finished a sewing project. ;-)

Actually, make that twice. Over the course of Sunday, I sewed my test pair of pants - using cheaper material, etc. They came out pretty well, actually. Needed more allowance for the hem, so the legs were a little short, forgot to stitch the edges to keep the raw fabric from unraveling on the exposed seams, wanted larger cuffs, but otherwise were good.

Stuck the new fabric in the wash, made a new pattern - wider cuffs, tapered the legs inward from the crotch the first 10", then outward to the bottom for the 40" (!) cuffs. Then walked to the store and bought grommets for the drawstring (I used buttonholes for the test pants).

I finished the Tetris-print pants that night.

I might redo the waistband at some point - take the current one off, and use the dense pattern for it, add one or two cargo pockets, and maybe some D rings... But right now, I like them how they are.
