I hacked my first kernel driver yesterday. Well, I mean, I ported an existing driver to also support v4l2 instead of only v4l. v4l2 being Video For Linux version 2. The driver is for a camera which also functions as a webcam; I hacked the webcam driver. The camera is a really cheap model, the kinda thing you get for free with breakfast cerials. ( Read more... )
