Get On the Bed

Monday Kuya and I went with mom to work b/c my laptop wasn't working at home...again.  Different laptop this time b/c I did the rollout thing last week.  It's an IBM Thinkpad: T60.  Kuya came along b/c he needed to go to the mall in order to see if there was a job available for only three months.  Mom had shortened hours b/c of  Labor day so she only worked from 10 to 2.  Kuya and I went to Hawley and turned on my laptop and found that it just needed to be on the SHU network a little longer in order to work.  Basically Kuya spent the time DLing stuff and playing around with my new laptop while I read a book, lol.  When mom got out, we ate at the mall and walked around finding help wanted signs.  Found a couple but no one is really looking to hire someone who is only working for 3 months.  We went home and I prepared my bag for class.  It was dad's first night at work.  His hours are supposed to be 6PM-3AM.  Oh boy.

Tuesday was my first day of classes.  Good times right there, ne?  So I was a little nervous b/c dad didn't return at 3 like I thought he was and I had and 8:15 class.  It was 6:30 when I called him to find out where he was.  He was actually on his way, which was good b/c we had to leave at 7.  Dad brought back some Krispy Kreme stuff and gave mom and me the smaller stuff to bring to school.  We weren't late at all and I tested out my meal card to find that it wasn't activated good times right there.  My first and only class was the history of education in the US.  Yeah, thrilling.  The classroom was setup like a kindergarten room with all the child-friendly posters and books.  Very open environment.  Can't stay quiet, oh no siree, b/c we're aspiring teachers and we like to talk.  :P  There's 25 of us and only one guy.  Go him.  Dr. Forget is pretty cool, a little intense, but not bad so far.  The HW is stupid though.  Spent the rest of the day on campus catching up with the SHU crew, good times indeed.

Wednesday was my 9:30 class, educational psychology, but ended up leaving after an hour b/c my prof was still overseas.  You'd think there would be an earlier notice.  Anyhoo, so her secretary comes in and gives us the syllabus and tells us that we don't have a Friday class.  Sweetness.  I spent the time in the Mahogany Room just hanging and finding people.

Thursday was another long class that meets once a week: Digital Filmmaking I.  Only ten peeps in a building I haven't ever had a class in.  Okay, so I already forsee this being one of my more expensive classes, lol.  I can also see it being quite difficult b/c I don't have a MAC nor do I have a strong media background.  I know that most of my assignments will be hands on and that I'm going to be abusing the editing room, lol.  After that, found peeps again and hung out.  I did attempt HW but I didn't finish it.

Friday was just a waste of campus time.  B/c I didn't have class, you'd think that I'd be able to go home.  But no, I had CLA training at 2:15 to 3.  I spent the entire time trying not to fall asleep.  I did finish reading so that's a plus.  Hung out with peeps, then went to that meeting, then went back to hanging out.  So a new rule as CLA is that I get to choose the hours.  Yeah, I have to figure that out soon.  I actually played pool that time with Gabe and Nikki.  WITH MY POOL CUE!!!!  Mom and I went to Stop & Shop afterwards and I even had a chance to chat with Dave.

Saturday was just odd in general.  Dad actually let me go out and hang out with peeps at SHU.  I kinda sorta lied in order to go out.  ^_^;  Shh.  Anyhoo, the rum cake mom bought at S&S was freely given to the SHU crew.  She said it tasted more like a mocha cake than a rum cake.  Kev and Jen picked me up and they dropped me off at SHU where I met up with Tarra.  Tarra and I walked around the carnival, noticed the lack of participation, and poked fun towards peeps.  We did obtain a souvenir: a keychain photo of us!  Tarra's keychain is way better.  We found Gabe in Hawley with Steph T. and tried to get a pic with them but the carnival ended.  Short lived.  Hung out with Tarra a majority of the time which means insanity.  Met her suitemates...0_0.  Yeah, making sure she doesn't have to go back to her place until way later.  We ate tacos at Kev's place with Gabe, Jen, Nikki, and Alyssa.   We relaxed and then headed back to campus.  We dropped Nikki off at J-Hill and Gabe at West.  The rest of us went to the Edgerton theater to watch Dale K, the comedian hypnotist. lol, Jen fell into the front seat of the Cadaver Crusader and we all laughed.   Stephy met us there.  I was the only one from our group that went up as a volunteer.  Weird thing, I don't really know what the hell happened.  It's like what I can remember doesn't feel true.  Barney is evil incarnate.  My throat was really sore.  Apparently, the show was good.  *shrugs*  It seemed too short.

I've been getting know Tarra better so that's coolio.  Um...don't want to start my Monday classes b/c Staples scares the crap out of me and she's my first class (Shakespeare).  I have to buy a mini digital video tape for DF I.  My thorat is killing me.

Turtlle sake will make the butter dance.
