Nick Wechsler plays a sheriff [or maybe only just a cop] in New Mexico?! the irony was lost on me the 1st time I've seen it. was sb on this show involved in Roswell, too? [need to check]. the music - in typical Bear McCreary fashion - gave me chills, moved me ...in that last scene almost to tears. so glad he's on board with this show. the reshoots really hurt this show. hopefully all the new eps weren't subjugated to network interference and will not feel so disjaunted. mainly - the opening sequence in the Pre-Air version was so powerful. fierce and terrifying. but in the Broadcast version it is very much numbed down of the forcefullness - guess, that was the point and reason for the reshoot, but still - it's The Terminator for frak's sake, what did they think they were getting?! also I think, some scenes were trimmed for time to include 2 brand new scenes. can't say if one version was better than the other in this area. different, sure. I imagine in time it will make all the difference, bc they were probably laying ground for some future stories. most notably the recasting of the fiancee. more butch of a guy this time, no more loving and compassionate Tomen [sorry, feel no need to check that guy's name. he's soooo only Tomen from SG-1.] also the FBI detective got a bit more screentime, or more to say, or sth, cause he got to shine as an actor a bit more in this version. all in all, can't wait for 1x02!!!!!! I really hope ppl will like it, bc I can't imagine only 9 eps of this. please FOX, have faith in the future!
