59th Primetime Emmy Awards
The Emmys were rather enjoyable this yr; in spite of the boring-to-death nominations.
Stanley Tucci *destroyed* me with his smile.
and James Spader surprised me with his quite enjoyable speech on his unsurprising win.
Sally Field's win was a nice change of pace; even though I wished it would go to Kyra Sedgwick or Patricia Arquette.
and 30 Rock brought back some validity to these awards; that critical darlings may yet sometimes sneak in!
however, the snubbing of Battlestar Galactica and Ronald D. Moore was still painful; although it was at least nice to see it mentioned.
[ETA] OMFG, Katie Heigl got to present with Kyle Chandler and then went on to win her 1st Emmy! congrats to her! although I still can't stand her, since that whole Isaiah debacle, but I followed her carrier since Roswell, so am happy for her in that regard.
