Love.. Lust.. The L Word
I just went through season 1 of The L Word and what can I say.. I LOVE IT!!! it's so real. so for women, even if you're as straight as can be, I think;)
must say from the promo photoshoots I was sure the characters I'd like the most would be Bette (Jennifer Beals) bc she's just unbelievably beautiful & Jenny (Mia Kirshner) bc I watched Wolf Lake just to see some scenes with her. but I was shocked to have it completely the other way around half a season in!!
surprised as I was, I was quick to fall for Tina (Laurel Holloman) and completely side with Tim (Eric Mabius). man, Jenny really did a number on him; it's hard to feel for her character now. the same goes for Bette. the other surprise was that my 2nd fav character quite quickly became Alice (Leisha Hailey).
Now 2 episodes into the 2nd season I cannot get enough of Shane (Katherine Moennig). she had an amazing arc at the end of the 1st season.
&any of you The 4400 fans, you'll quickly get over your love for Alana Mareva as Tom Baldwin's love after seeing season 1 of TLW. man, she's a twisted biotch here. although her storyline gets resolved rather dramatically.
anyway, TLW is now my fav guilty pleasure. you're hard to find so many well rounded women characters on any show these days. don't hesitate and check this show out, the 2h pilot episode gives you the feel of the series in *perfect* pilot fashion:)
