stargate sg1 the pegasus project
I write those as I watch, I cannot focus my thoughts so well after watching the entire ep. gotta do it while I hit Pause.
fine. a fine start to an ep. expected sth fantabulous, as it probably would seem if I haven't seen any of the Atlantis eps.
and Vala is more of a Jack O'Neil than Mitchell will ever be. though I do love me my weekly John Crichton Ben Browder. *sigh*
ouuu, red chevrons gate in space. so cool.
the non-hologram bit was too good. am finally in awe.
and the McKay technobabble bores me. sorry, not a fan.
but the deep voice stuff due to time dilation, now that is what I call intelligent (and impressive in execution) writing! *happy* and satisfied.
Daniel. what a profound ep this turned out to be. Michael Shanks has amazing dramatic presence.
Mitchell. slingshot. my Farscape love rekindles.
explosions. what a major episode.
Tealc. beautiful smile. so handsome. * squee*
isn't it funny how Vala is inseparably connected to Daniel? every scene she's in, it's with him. it's such a shippy connection that just makes me smile all round. Stargate SG-1 is a very different show, now in it's 10th season. wish they did change that name to Stargate Command back at the beginning of the 9th season. The only other apparent shippy connection of SG-1 has been Jack and Sam, but there's never been a vibe between them as strong as the one between Vala and Daniel. it was a different show. military camaraderie. a strong fighting family unit. but never such a man/woman connection as we have the pleasure of watching here. on Stargate SG-1 what we had was partners and friendship. in this new incarnation of our show we have passion; passion of fighting, passion of convictions, passion of new acquaintances.
what an end. and the music cue. the last thought that came to my mind: maybe you're in this fight alone, but you've got each other. and that's Stargate 101.
I was ready to rewatch this ep once it ended.
and I did. with just a little fastforwarding to the Daniel and Vala scenes and the amazing special effects and Tealc's smile *squee* I know yet again!
