"I miss the music...I miss my friend"

Quick update-age:

Barrett Foa as Leaf Coneybear/Carl Dad is just about the cutest thing ever. What is it about that Carl Dad outfit? Yay for winning lotto. I'm glad I got to see him and the rest of the originals that are left before they ship them off to LA. BTW - Jared Gertner is an AWESOME Barfee. Perfection. Glad he's staying on Broadway. Stephanie told me he was good when we were chatting preshow...but wow.

Picked up $25 advance tix to Coram Boy and Frost/Nixon since those were the two plays I really wanted to see this season.

Ran into Tyler briefly which is never a bad thing.

Went to the night show of Curtains:
Glad I paid under half price...score! 3rd row mezz there was really good.
It reminded me of Drowsy Chaperone (which is a better show, imo) meets the Oklahoma number from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels...weird, I know, but if you see it, you'll understand.
It's good and enjoyable but not great where I'm rushing to go back...mostly bc the songs aren't really memorable. Maybe I'll change my mind if I get the cast cd when it comes out.
The cast turns in some fantastic performances though which saves this show from being forgettable.
David Hyde Pierce was perfect as Cioffi and had the Southie-ish Boston accent down.(Winter..you know who I was thinking of)
Edward Hibbert (used to be Underling in Drowsy) steals the show. He was hysterical.
Jason Daniely has an amazing voice *dies* and his "i miss the music" is love.
Megan Sikora wows everyone with her dance number.
Debra Monk is a riot...I had seen her in Chicago, but liked her more in this.
Overall good show...will do really well...but do I think the show will win a Tony for best show? It shouldn't, but I have a feeling Edward Hibbert or maybe Pierce will go home with one.
Random: I chatted with the people in front of me in line to get in. They told me I needed to see Spring Awakening if I hadn't already. I told 'em I loved it and have been twice and plan to go back. Turned out to be Skylar Astin's mom and dad...lol. That was my random run in for the day besides walking behind David Hyde Pierce for a bit with Tim before realizing it was DHP when he hugged his friend in front of us and went into the stage door.

Alright, off to bed.

Oh since I forgot to say it the other night...I love this whole Jason Sudeikis on 30 Rock thing!!! :) At least NBC didn't cancel the damn show...esp since Studio 60 looks like it went that way. Why have they cancelled 3 shows now that I actually liked?
