(no subject)

Hello to all,

I am sooo sore today. I think I have really hurt from my shoulder down my right arm somehow. I know that I had a little bit of a fall in the most weirdest of ways imaginable ... and how I did so will remain a bit of a secret - but I still cannot believe what happened!!! On a totally different subject, we had some visitors yesterday and they brought their children with them, and as you all know I love kids, hence I am going to be a teacher amongst other things. Now this one child is a little bit naughty and likes to get into things. So imagine my horror and surprise when I find him in my room trying to pick up my Japanese Fighting Fish who is affectionately named Storm. I think I almost cried. I seriously didn't know what to say - besides I don't think you should pick him up and that fish are for looking at and not holding. As I write this it is another day closer to Christmas and the presents under the seem to be some what accumulating. My one question is what is in my big bag?? Tara the "little" ratbag that she is wanted to put me out of my misery by telling me - but I love surprises!!

Ohhh did we have a great Sunday morning at the Grandparents' house, it was all fun and games as you'll see behind the cut!

Family - you have got to love them! So we went down to dad's parent's today to do the Christmas-sy thing. So there's no secret that there is no love lost between them and my mother. I am not sure exactly what the whole story is, but anyways they don't seem to like my mother and me. So we spent the whole time with Andre Rieu on DVD playing in the background and every second thing they said was about Andre Rieu, and yes I did like the versions of the Christmas carols and admit that he is fantastic, but seriously they haven't seen us or attempted to in awhile. And yes it is a two-way street but we have been so busy lately and they don't want anything to do with us. Whilst we were there we got our Christmas presents - Tara and I got a small box of Ferrero Rochers each and my parents got a lotto ticket as it was agreed that they would not buy Christmas presents for one another, even though we brought something small for them. So I'm not sure about just getting a box of Ferrero Rochers - I mean it's okay from a friend or an acquaintance but from my grandparents, I dunno I just thought that there is something a little more sort of personal about the giving where you can keep what you get for awhile - if that makes sense. I would definitely have preferred some money to buy something, even though I am a self-confessed addict to Ferreros. They have some photos of us up which was quite a surprise because in the last house they had the photos up but hidden by those of the other family members. Our ball photos are right up the top of one of the display cabinets/cupboards and as soon as you walk straight in there is one of those frames that hold a number of photos - our photos are of when we were younger - Tara is all dressed up in the Scottish hat and kilt, and I am standing by a Christmas tree (well at least I think it is what it is!) and mum and dad are together at a function of some description when they were younger. I believe that new photos are in order!! Oh and one unfortunate thing is that whenever dad goes and sees his parents or another relative from that side of the family he gets oh so grumpy for the rest of that day and until a few days later.
Anyways take care all, and if I don't post beforehand - I'm sure I will though,
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year,
Love Emma xx
