Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is definitely one of my top two American holidays. The whole concept of men being guilted into buying their ladies gifts to show how much they really care is my kinda holiday.
Although I do think that forcing ones boyfriend to buy a girl an expensive gift should be required more than just twice a year. And I really don't understand the point of buying candy or flowers. They are far too perishable. A good boyfriend will know to buy something that does not rot or wither away after a few hours. Something like diamonds. Diamonds are a girls best friend after all. Although stocks and bonds are a close second.
Anyway, I had a really nice Valentine's Day this year. Xander only mentioned his ex's two, maybe three times in the whole day. Only mentioned Buffy and Willow once. And only criticized me four, or was it five times for mentioning some of my favorite Valentine's Day jobs as a Vengeance demon. Though do guess he is right. Talking about vengeance or past love interests does not help put a girl in the right mood. A candle light dinner for two does. Xander was very romantic. And he was rewarded for all his efforts.
As for now, I need to get back to work at the Magic Box. Valentine's Day is over. Work is not the time to be daydreaming about how great a lover Xander is. I can do that after work. Not every girl can be as luck as me. So will hopefully have lots of customers still looking for love. Cause the more people looking for a quick fix with magic, the more money me and Giles make. And the more money I make, the better day it will be.
