Oh god I just messed up Haseo's armor-tail-thing three times in a row. The tail looks like this. Dynamic pose is a poor indicator of this, but it's got some bounce and never lies totally flat against his back. I got some polyester strapping from the trash at Home Depot. Found out the hard way that the solvents in spray primer and paint react horribly with Sculpey. The paint does not cure, and the surface of the Sculpey dissolves and becomes soft and sticky. On thin pieces, the Sculpey is so degraded that the whole thickness becomes rubbery and flexible ( Read more... )
