A Bachelor’s University Life, Part 2
Mikey had some time to kill before going back home to Sunset Valley at the end of term, so he decides to try his hand at graffiti art.
He sucks at it muchly.

Mikey thinks so, too, so he asks her to be his Steady girl.

They spend a lot of time making goo goo eyes at each other….

And then it’s time to go home…
Mikey waiting for the bus back to Sunset Valley… which never showed up before the loading screen popped up.
Back at home, Bella has transitioned (or rather, she transitioned right before Mikey went to Uni, but I didn’t get to make her over before he left) into a beautiful teenager. Loving the new hairs for girls. The guys need more options, though.
Since Mikey still has a whole bunch of credits til he gets his diploma, he decides to head back to Uni for a second term.
Unlike last time, Mikey has some mad skills and earns what they call a ‘partial scholarship.’
However, since this is his second term, he’s able to do a whopping 24 credits for FREE. As you can see, 24 creds is enough to get him the 48 he needs for a diploma in Physical Education. It might be too much work, but Mikey’s willing to try it. We’ll see how it goes.
Look the Uni Bus! I have no clue why his suitcase is sunk in the pavement like that, but … whatever.
Annnd… here we are back at Uni. Mikey got assigned a new dorm this term. It’s a little on the posh side, but you can’t really tell that from the outside.
His first official act on campus is to streak (please excuse the blur. All my mods are gone until Twallan gets around to okaying them. Curse you Sim City 4 for stealing the attention of our favorite modder! Curse you, I say! *g* )
I will be honest with you, I have been reading on several forums about people having troubles sending Sims back for that elusive 2nd term and not having class schedules or being able to send them to classes. Other people seem to be having issues where their Sim with vanish once the Uni town loads.
I am pleased to report that without ANY mods (and yes, I do still feel somewhat nekkid here), I have had no problems with those issues. *knock on wood* Mikey finished up his streaking, got a side job from the mail box/bulletin board, went to the Meet & Greet, and then to a party. No problems whatsoever.
At least, Mikey didn’t have any problems. This guy, however? Died at the first party of the term. Bummer for him.
And for everyone else, too. They all spent half the first week of the term crying over this total stranger’s death.
Mikey was so upset by it, he picked an argument with some guy form his dorm. (Actually, he had a Social Group dare to start a fight, for Jock cred, so I let him, but he had to seriously degrade his relationship with this guy to make it happen.
)
Whizzing the juice. Yup… there goes my Early 90′s again. *g*

And heading off to his first class of the new term. It’s a rabbit hole, but that’s okay.
Actually, it does kind of bug me, but only because I’m only playing Mikey. If I had more than one Sim to play, I could send him to his rabbit hole and go follow the other Sim around. I would feel much more productive.

Two funny things about this pic… one, it’s a pink bike. Two… not 10 sim-minutes ago, I bought him a snazzy new motorcycle. And yet, he’s riding the pink bike instead. *facepalm* Mikey? why do I bother? And please don’t say it’s because I like you.

You will note that it’s pouring rain and the prof didn’t cancel. Not only that, all the students stuck around and did their thing. One of them even pulled an umbrella. That’s dedication, peeps.
Because really? LOOK at these free standing puddles of water! You could practically swim in them, and Mikey’s out playing soccer! Is it any wonder that a day later, he winds up with a cold?
Or maybe the cold resulted from launching a successful protest for Clown Rights in the middle of the night? Either way, poor Mikey!

This was before I learned that you could buy street cred with Aspiration Points. Considering Mikey’s LTW is the be top level all 3 social groups? Yeah, bonus!
BTW, I do NOT consider this cheating on his LTW at all. Whether he got the street cred by jumping through social hoops, performing dares, making friends, learning skills… or by me purchasing them with APs … well? He still had to jump through a LOT of those same hoops to get the aspiration points in the first place.
Making a wall mural. It was a creepy no-faced guy with a hat and glasses. He earned $11 from passer-by, who later booed the finished product because it was more creepy than art.

Don’t know why, cuz the prof sure looks very dynamic. And scruffy. I had a prof like him in college. He looked like Mr, Tumnus the faun and sounded like Kermit the Frog. We all nick-named him Kermie behind his back.
Mickey asks some questions, which the prof never answered. Should have slept, I guess.
And after class, I clicked on the podium. Turns out, you can teach your own lectures. Mikey’s is a total bomb. :-(

And a late 2nd term makeover. Gave Mikey some highlights… he looks cute.
This chick who has way too much make up on? Sge’s not that good at trivia challenges, either.
So, the new do was in honor of Mikey’s first party of the 2nd term. He’s having a kegger, and I totally failed to snap pictures. That’s okay, though, because largely, there was routing fail and most people stood around complaining.
But they still made enough noise that the police showed up and interrupted Mikey and Nina’s dance to lecture him and break up the party. Then… the stupid cop stays in the dorm to play pool for several hours. C’mon! Really?
Well, Mikey has another week left of his 2nd term, and he should be done. I’ve heard that they get special job offers if they complete, so we’re going for it.
He’s also gonna marry his girl (I hope).
Things to note from this one? No mods, no glitches. Please hurry, Twallan. I don’t trust EA’s story progression farther than I can throw it. Last time I did, my hood became a ghost town. :-(
