Not just any old bachelor, either. It’s Michael Bachelor himself. That guy who lived alone in the box house in Neighborhood 1. Bella’s big brother. Future dead husband of Dina Caliente… ooops.. wait…what? Forget I said that, Mikey, you don’t wanna go there.
And this is… well, I forget his name, but this is the Llama mascot who randomly showed up on the Bachelor’s front door just seconds after I started the new game. As you can see, he’s kinda got a thing for Jocasta.
Once he finishes peeping in the windows, Llama Guy leaves this basket of stuffs from the University.
Mikey finds the basket. Please note the enthusiasm on his face. It’s so inspiring, isn’t it? I guess he’s still trying to figure out what I meant by ‘future dead husband.’ Poor guy.
Still no enthusiasm. Are you sure you want to go to college, Mikey? I could always send Bella and Mortimer instead.
Nope, he’s filling out the aptitude test… which apparently, he has none of. He’s been advised to up his grades and get some skill points… and grow up a little more before applying to college. Seems it’s only for Young Adults in the Sims 3. Bummer.
After raiding the basket of freebies, Mikey let’s Llama Guy come inside the house and they chat it up a little about college life, sports and stuff like that. Llama Guy is some big wig in the Jock social network, and Mikey wants an in with them. He’s athletic, after all.
Llama Guy also chats up Simis, and discovers that he works long hours as a writer.
Simis decides to teach Mikey to drive now…
And while he’s gone, Llama Guy puts the moves on Jocasta. REALLY?
In an effort to gain athletic skill, Mikey heads to the gym… but apparently tonight is all-girl’s night or something. And vampire!Madison Van Watson tries to hypnotize him.
Randomly… this is Holly Alto. And this is Mikey striking out with Holly. Like, big time strike out.
And because Mikey has such a pathetic social life, and spent most of his time building up his Athletic skills… we jumped ahead without very many pictures.
Mikey’s pre- Uni makeover. He looks like he could be Ron Weasley, if only he had redder hair. It’s a good look on him.
At this point, I’d also like to point out that you can’t send friends from other houses to Uni with you, ala Sims 2. Bummer. I liked that feature.
Buh-bye, Mikey. I see you still show no enthusiasm for this. Maybe I should have created a Sim for this? Someone with lots of Excitability?
First day at college… playing ping pong with a dorm-mate.
See this chick? Mikey got a message saying she thought they had a lot in common and should go out sometime. He spent most hist first week trying to get her to go on a date with him. She kept saying that she was ‘too tired’ or that she had class.
This is a random vampire we saw at the campus meet & greet. She’s a nerd, and totally adorable!
See what I mean?
And he’s our boy, running to his first class in the rain.
So.. I suck, because I got caught up playing (my usual excuse) and forgot to snap pictures. After he gave up on that one chick, he looks up with a girl named Nina Simons. She’s a jock like him, cute as a button and let him kiss her on the first date.
We went to a couple of classes and a lecture. The one class was a rabbit hole. The second was outdoors beside the rabbit hole building, where I got to watch him play kicky bag (ooops, my Sims 2 is showing, isn’t it? *g*) for 2 hours while some of his classmates tossed a Frisbee back and forth and others did stretches with the skeleton model. I wish I had classes that in college, don’t you?
And, also with no pictures… Mikey threw a bonfire party which lasted from 6pm until 2pm the next afternoon. It was a ‘raging success’ or whatever that moodlet said. Also, he met a Plantsim! It was during the full moon, and a totally rainy night, too. I thought it would be a dud, but nope… we had fairies, weres, zombies… all crowded around the bonfire in the rain, tossing vials of lethal substances into it.
Party on, dude!
(Ooops… now my Early 90′s is showing…)
Mikey hasn’t graduated yet, though, so I can come back with more pictures.
Things I’m liking so far… the mailbox/bulletin board with jobs and dares. Very cool idea. Weekends!!!!! Actual honest to goodness, we can party all night, weekends. The fact that not all the classes are rabbit holes. I was expecting it (other than the lecture) so the opportunity to see a class in action was a nice surprise.
