(no subject)
Today I undertook the daunting task of bringing 120 first grade students to the Shedd Aquarium. I'd say overall the trip was a success! No major setbacks other than some blocked exits. The kids had a really good time, and I did, too! My first field trip was a hit!
So last weekend I went out with Nicole, Mandi, Leonor, and their friends to Mothers in Chicago. I had a really fun time!! I loved dancing all over the place and laughing as Nicole assaulted drunk men. I got talked to by some creepers that I told to go away, and I did see Rich Murphy. That was old school and a bit awkward, but mostly fine. We just talked about our lives after Marian. Good times!!
Matt didn't come up last weekend because he "needed a break from life" and wanted to just hang out at his house. And that was cool with me - we have been doing a LOT of driving and such in the past 2 and a half months. The weekend before that I went down to Champaign. And the weekend before that my parents were in Florida so he came up here. Today my mom asked if Matt was coming up this weekend, and I told her that he was. I asked if she needed him to do something... like carry bags of salt or fix something, because sometimes she does. But she said, "No, I just miss seeing him." I thought that was incredibly wonderful! I never thought my mom would be cool with a boy spending every night of the weekend at my house. But I was wrong! Not only is she cool with it, she misses him when he isn't here. Craziness!!!!
I bought a sweet dress today at Old Navy. I am taking the opportunity this summer to dress less modestly than my relationship partner had approved of in the past. Matt is hanging out with me at a good time. I already have 3 cute summer dresses to wear and today I also bought a tube top!! Wowzer!
Now time to stare at Adam Lambert and hope that my constant voting helped. :)
