Amusing (to me at least)
On the eve of Halloween, it occurs to me that my stance and quite often 'phhhuh' attitude to the most dressy-up of all Holidays doesn't really make sense for one simple reason:
I believe Jesus Christ came back to life after his death.
If I believe that, then what's to stop me from believing that Ghosts prowl the Earth... that somethings can't be explained... and that Halloween, based lightly in the supernatural, is a valid Holiday?
Simple:
Because I don't take kindly to a Holiday themed evening where kids go door to door begging for candy, and if they don't get candy they will proceed to egg the shit out of the house I live in.
If you celebrate Halloween, more power to you. But egg my house, and I'm gonna get a bucket of cold water and drench your ass.
