What an incredibly satisfying opening weekend! The show has really come together nicely and i'm extremely proud of everyone involved in it. Artistically, i'm pretty happy with the whole thing. i was a bit more hands off on this as creative director than i've been on shows in the past. in large part, this was due to just being so busy,

oh, i am so in love with that space, i just can't tell you. a huge gorgeous hardwood ballroom inside a fortress? 25 feet to the ceiling i-beams? man. the armory rules. i think it cries out for something steampunky, though. :)

and this show has been great fun to work on-- i'm looking forward to the next weekend!

David was just telling me about...some type of creative project support website thing that for the life of me, I can't remember the name of right now. It sounded somewhat like a micro-lending site, but dedicated to creative endeavors rather than personal loans, and I don't believe it is a loan, but a philanthropy type thing

unfortunately not. our original plan was to combine both filming a DVD and do a live show into one project, but that ultimately proved to be too logistically complicated and cost prohibitive. hopefully at some point in the future we'll be able to put a DVD together.
