she's gone unopened

this really sucks. blame the rhyming on the fact that it was written after 2 in the morning.

::yawn::

~

she's penny flipped down wishing well
dying when she hits the bottom
all broken bones and bleeding phones

your voice never suited her

she's uncut bread and
fermented grapes sitting uneaten
at the last supper; all glory and pride
and thorns in her side

her dinnerplate lay bare

she's ice pick beneath animal skin
baby seals and blood-soaked trails
a fur coat is nice in wintertime
to cover her bed of nails

she'll make pinpricks a fad

she's glossy magazine picture
and models in the grass
stains away and skies ungray
she'll kiss away your past

scathe the skin
to bear a sin
of naked/blessed/bleeding days
gone dancing in the fire

she's a scar to admire
without a day so dire as to
resort to change in her pockets

all she needs is copper wire
and some tacks up on the wall
to create a mausoleum
upon which she will fall

wish i may, wish i might
please grant this wish
i wish tonight

dear wishing well
