I'm finally in my dream destination, Ladakh!
I was about to start exploring but then I got quite sick from making the greedy mistake of saving 20 rupees on mutton chowmein... but now that I have my anti-biotics it's almost time!
Stuck in the main city, Leh.. but it's absolutely amazing even here. Entering the valley was like entering a dream, stupas, monks, gompas and prayer wheels everywhere, lining the sandy slopes of the valley. The culture is the closest thing left to pre-China Tibet by far, and while tourism and the west are quickly eroding this ancient Tibetan-Buddhist culture, there's still enough left to be inspired and awed by. I can't wait to leave the tourist trap...
