[Backdated to after her
conversation with Kushi]
[It wasn't true. It wasn't true--it wasn't! Ammy wasn't gone; Miyabi wouldn't accept it. So after she stormed off after yelling at poor Kushi (she'll apologize later), the girl ran through the entirety of Luceti, searching for the wolf until her lungs burst or legs gave out. The forest, village, anywhere she thought Ammy would be.
Nothing. Not even a yip.
It took her hours to face the truth that her goddess was no longer in Luceti with her. Ammy was gone. The Malnosso took her away for good this time. It...It was better that way, right? She could find that little Oina girl and save Kamui before the Day of Darkness, right? Then why...why did she feel so empty? So cold? So lonely? ...How long was she gone? How long did Miyabi not know?!
Did it matter now?
She was gone.
It was late in the afternoon now, before the girl opened up her journal and gripped her little brush tightly, to keep her hand from shaking too much. She should tell those who knew Amaterasu. People had to know. They had a right to know. A drop of ink falls from her brush before she writes one word:]
Amate--
[Before the word's even complete, the page is ripped forcefully from the journal. She tries again, but the same thing happens. Her hand shakes, ink smears on the paper, and it's ripped away. The next page comes just because it feels good. And the next. And the next. And the next after that.
Finally, she stops, but large, wet spots appear on the journal as she steels herself, grabbing her brush tightly, gathers her paints, and turns on the audio. Her voice is soft, and shallow - more like a croak - as she speaks a little song. It's barely audible at first, so listen closely...]
Th-Though the flower petals are falling...
They added...c-c-colors to the city.
The w-winds f-f-forbade...
[She dips her brush in the ink, takes a deep breath, and begins to run it over the paper as she sings.] There is n-no need for worries, for the seasons...w-will return!
The radiant M-M-Moon we watched together, that time b-beckoned so.
[Miyabi gasps, uttering a loud sob before she pulls away and scrubs viciously at her face. Can't stop, keep going.] The same t-t-tears are always sh-shed!
We will not r-realize what is most p-precious...until we have lost it. [Another sob, but she continues to paint.]
If only one w-wish can be fulfilled,
I would say “goodbye”...to my old self.
[A long pause, as she breathes in and out again. Her voice gets louder, and the lines get less shaky.] If there are...unchangeable feelings,
It would be under the usual Sakura tree...
I-I-I traced my pinky in the dazzling m-morning--[She smiles sadly, sniffling, and dips not her brush, but her little finger into the red paint, drawing a slow circle with it.]
So the promise made...will not be lost.
I-I will not...h-hesitate and m-move on with life!
For the time past w-will not return....
For my most...ch-cherished prayers to reach you,
I shall sing again today!! [Miyabi swallows again, and though her tears are falling down her face, she has the resolve to keep going. Her voice is strong, and her lines are fluid and beautiful.]
You’ll find the answers you seek...
For so I was told.
If only one wish can be fulfilled,
I w-want to deliver this s-song to you...back in time. [The poncle sniffles again, and her smile widens as she utters a silent prayer to her goddess, hoping she'll hear.]
If there are...unchangeable f-feelings,
It would be under the usual Sakura tree!
For my most cherished prayers to reach you...
I shall s-sing again today!! [She laughs, though it's more a shallow sob.]
The answer you seek is...r-right here,
This I was told so. [Though her drawing takes a long time to complete, they girl hums and sometimes whispers the song again. Finally, when she's done, a painting is complete.]
Reset the Sadness...
--[Action]--
[Miyabi won't answer hails over her journal. In fact, it's remaining shut for the length of the day. Maybe longer, until she calms down completely. If those who are willing would go looking for her, she'll be under the "usual Sakura tree" which, with the power of Bloom and a bit of Filial Magic, is thriving - pink and lush, despite the chill in the air.
A little golden light is laying on the grass near some of the large roots, where an indent still remains. It was cold, but the bright Sun above, shining dutifully, warms the little poncle's face as she cries quietly to herself. She's going to have to tell Salt she won't be coming back to the house anymore... This tree was now not only a symbol of home, and of the wood sprite she didn't know of, but of Ammy herself.
And like she promised to make people believe in the goddess, Miyabi makes a promise to herself, under the watchful eye of the shining Sun, that she'll protect the tree for Amaterasu as well.]
[OOC: Just to specify here, Miya is NOT answering voice comments! If you want to talk to her, you more or less have to find her under Ammy's cherry tree. So, though this is a voice post, it's just her venting and telling people, in her own way, that Amaterasu's gone home.
That is all. |Db
Also! If you wanna hear the actual song she's singing, it's called Reset, off the official Okami OST, and can be found
here. ♥]
