[Kohaku doesn't know if she should interrupt someone who's concentrating so hard...because with all that flying ice, it's possible Kohaku might get hurt, and that'd be baaaad!

[You may be waiting for a while, Kohaku. This painter is just as stubborn as an ox - which is, ironically, the god who rules over the Skill she was trying to master. You're better off approaching her before she begins to paint again. ...Kind of like now. She's taking a quick breather after dodging all that ice and snow.]

Nyeh...Gotta keep going! It won't work at all if I can't at least make a block of ice!

[And, this is Miyabi - leaping a good foot or two into the air from the voice that's suddenly behind her. And for a person that's only 3/4 of an inch tall, that's a feat to behold. Whirling around once she lands, rather ungracefully on her rear, she flails a little.]

It's all right...I just didn't want anyone getting hurt in case I messed up. Blizzard is a powerful Brush Skill that can freeze any target, and I'm not good at it at all...as you can see, heh~

[Ah, but Miyabi's not an angel! She's a Ponclet - a female Poncle. Though...with the glittering hummingbird wings on her back, it's easy to mistake the little glowing child for an angel.]

Yes! In my world, the thirteen animal gods of Nippon rule over a particular skill that was once used by the mother Goddess, Amaterasu's Celestial Brush. The one I'm practicing now is the ox god, Itegami's, brush skill! It's called Blizzard, and can freeze anything into solid ice!

[Boasting? No, never. Miyabi just likes telling people about her gods - it's her duty as a Poncle and Celestial Envoy in training to spread the word and instill faith in them from the people of her world.]

Correct~ The thirteen heavenly animal spirits that are marked upon the zodiac. But, unlike that, the cat god - Kabegami - is also included~ She rules over the Brush Skill Catwalk, which allows one to walk on walls if a cat statue is close by.

[Miyabi recites what she's learned, smiling pleasantly. We're not getting into the myth about how the cat was excluded on the Chinese calendar, Kohaku. You'll have to learn that for yourself. Or wait for Miyabi to be in a more storytelling mood.

But I have to practice the ox's skill right now, it's really important that I at least make a big block of ice by tomorrow night!
