“Hi, Yamada-kun. I’m Chinen Yuri, the new employee of this café. Yoroshiku.”
Yamada stuns on his place. From all the girls who can be a waitress there, why must the owner choose a pretty boy named Chinen Yuri to be one.
“I’ll leave him under your guidance, Yamada-kun. I rely on you.” The owner holds Chinen’s shoulder and smiles to Yamada. Yamada can do nothing but to agree with the owner’s decision.
“Wa… wakarimashita.” Yamada says still with his shocked expression.
“As I expected from my best employee. Thanks, Yamada-kun. Now I have to go to somewhere else. Ja! And Chinen-kun, don’t hesitate to ask to Yamada-kun if there’s something you don’t understand here. He’ll surely help you.” He taps Chinen’s shoulder before then walks away.
“Arigatou gozaimashita.” Chinen bows to the owner.
As soon as the owner leaves the kitchen, Yamada turns his head at Chinen.
“What are you doing here?” He asks Chinen. Chinen rolls his eyes.
“I take a part time job here. Anything wrong?” He asks back.
“That’s not what I mean! And… why did you agree to wear that uniform?” Yamada asks again while staring at Chinen’s maid uniform.
“It is cute, isn’t it?” Chinen smirks. Yamada looks at Chinen again with a disbelief look.
“Just wear the usual waiter uniform! It doesn’t suit you!”
Now Chinen has his blood boiled. But then he tries to keep himself calm.
“It’s the owner’s order.” He says coldly. Yamada sighs.
“Whatever.” Yamada walks away from the kitchen, leaves Chinen alone with his mind full of questions.
Yeah, Yamada surely has changed. The old Yamada won’t leave him like this, especially when he is on a maid uniform. He would hug him or straightly kiss him, and show to the world that he really loves Chinen.
But now, he has a cold expression. He even ignores Chinen like this.
Chinen thought it would be easy to get the old Yamada with this way. But now he realizes that it’s wrong.
Has he really changed? Did he really just consider Chinen as a toy?

“Ne, Chii, Yuto, how about going to Chocolate café after this?” Suzuki taps Chinen’s shoulder. Both of Chinen and Yuto look at Suzuki with a questioning look.
“Eh?”
“My friend went there last night, and he saw that there is a new waitress there. She’s the cutest waitress he ever met, he told me.”
As Suzuki tells them, Yuto bursts in laugh. It was Keito and him who accompanied Chinen to meet the owner of the café, so he knows everything.
Suzuki just looks at Yuto with questioning look. Chinen blinks his eyes, doesn’t know how to tell Suzuki that the cute waitress he had said was him.
“Eh? Why are you laughing?” Suzuki asks Yuto. Yuto holds his stomach while trying to answer.
“The… the waitress… hahahaha… She is… Hahahahaha!!!” Yuto can’t say it because he’s too busy laughing. Chinen looks at his buddy and chuckles.
“Listen, Suzuki. The waitress was me.” Chinen decides to tell Suzuki the truth. Suzuki looks at Chinen in disbelief look.
“You? How can?”
“I took a part time job there, and the owner asked me to become a waitress instead.”
“So you met Yamada senpai too? He’s still working there darou?” Suzuki asks Chinen. Chinen nods.
“Yeah.”
“Have you made up with him?” Suzuki asks again, makes Chinen choked. “The last time you met him in the goukon, you had an argument with him ne?”
Chinen sighs and shrugs his shoulders.
“I don’t care. All the things that I have to do is just work properly there.” Chinen fakes a smile. He doesn’t want his problem with Yamada known by his friends. Suzuki looks at Chinen with a sad look.
“Somehow I’m kinda miss watching your lovey dovey moments with him, Chii.” He says with a sad look still on his face.
Chinen looks down and bites his bottom lip, while Yuto looks at him with a worry look.
“Taku told me that there’s a girl who often visits him there, and they talk in an intimate way. Is it true that Yamada senpai has had a new girlfriend?” Suzuki asks. This question surely a jab for Chinen’s heart.
“Ma… maybe.” Chinen fakes a smile again. “Sorry, I have to go to the toilet.” He immediately stands up and walks away from the classroom.
“I wonder what’s wrong with him.” Suzuki says while looking at Chinen’s back. Yuto stands up and looks at Suzuki.
“Don’t worry. There’s nothing wrong with Chii.” He taps Suzuki’s shoulder. “I’ll go to the toilet too.” He says and the leaves Suzuki to follow Chinen.
Yuto goes to the toilet, but he finds no one there. All the stall doors are opened. Yuto sighs, and goes to another place he expects Chinen to be there. The rooftop. As he opens the door, he finds Chinen is staring at the sky.
Yuto takes steps closer to Chinen, and stands beside him. He stares at the sky too, as what Chinen does. He knows right, that his buddy is struggling with himself right now.
“Ne Yuto.” Chinen finally speaks.
“Hm?”
“Am I too late?” Chinen asks.
“Too late for what?”
“To tell him that he succeeds to make me fall in love with him.”
Yuto looks at Chinen. He can spot the sadness on his eyes.
“There’s no word ‘late’ for this, Chii.” He tries to calm Chinen.
“I think I am, Yuto. Maybe he still loves Kurida.”
“How can you say that?”
“Yesterday, Kurida didn’t come. I couldn’t see the happiness on his eyes again, like the time when we saw him with Kurida. Although there were many girls there, he just smiled slightly and asked for their orders.”
“But it doesn’t prove anything Chii. He’s still loving you…” Chinen immediately looks at Yuto.
“It’s different, Yuto!” Chinen shouts in desperate. “If he loves me, why did he ignore me? Why didn’t he smile when I was beside him? Why he didn’t even talk to me? My presence is nothing for him, Yuto!”
Yuto can see Chinen’s red face. He knows, Chinen tries to hold his tears and anger. He used to get all of Yamada’s attentions on him. But he doesn’t receive it anymore after he realized that he has fallen for Yamada. How ironic.

Lately, Kurida doesn’t show up again. Chinen has worked for more than a week, and he hasn’t seen Kurida yet. During that time, there’s nothing change between Yamada and him. It walks as usual. Yamada will just going to the kitchen when there’s no customer on the café, and when the bell rings, signing that there’s a customer enters the café, he’ll immediately go to the front and work as usual.
Sometimes Chinen feels, that there’s no usage for continuing work there, but then he realizes, just by working there, he can see Yamada almost everyday. For this time, it’s enough for him. At least, he can be beside Yamada and see him.
As Chinen started to work there, the amount of the customers increase. Especially the boys. Many boys come to see Chinen, because the rumor that there’s new cute waitress in that café has spread. Although some of them have known the fact that Chinen is a boy, no one can resist his cuteness. It’s not a big problem for them. Meanwhile, the girls look at Chinen with envy looks. Chinen is cuter than any girls there, and they have to accept the fact. So they do nothing to Chinen. Furthermore, they rarely see Chinen has a talk with Yamada.
Chinen has no problem with the work thing, until one night when there’s no customer in the café.
As usual, Yamada has gone to the kitchen, leaving Chinen alone there. Chinen sighs. He’s used to this kind of situation, but still, there’s something hurting his heart. When Chinen is about to sit down, the bell rings, and he sees a customer enters the café. A man, maybe in his early 50. Chinen sees that Yamada hasn’t showed up yet, so he decides to serve the man instead.
“Irasshaimase!” He greets with a smile.
The man comes closer to Chinen, and Chinen gives the menu book to him. He takes some times for choosing before then go to a seat in the corner. Chinen goes to the kitchen to give the order note. He doesn’t see Yamada in the kitchen. Maybe Yamada is on the toilet.
“Hey, you! Come here!” The man calls Chinen, as soon as he comes back to the front. Chinen looks at him with questioning look, but obeys it.
“What can I do for you, sir?”
The man doesn’t say anything. All that he does is just staring at Chinen. Actually, Chinen screams in his heart, feels that something is going wrong.
“You’re really cute, ne.” He says, makes Chinen shivers.
“Th… thanks sir.” Chinen fakes a smile. The man laughs.
“What a shy girl we have here!” He laughs.
“But… I’m a boy, sir.” Chinen says, afraid if the man will do something to him if he doesn’t admit his true identity in front of him. The man has his eyes widen.
“A boy? Hahahahaha. It doesn’t matter. You’re still cute and shy. You’re even cuter than a girl.” He adds. Chinen fakes a smile again.
“Thanks sir.” Chinen realized that the man’s face is all redden. He must be drunk!
Chinen doesn’t know what to do again. The rule says that the guest is the king. So Chinen must respect each customer who comes there.
“So, cutie, mind to accompany me while waiting for the orders to come?” He asks. Chinen has his eyes widen, but then he smiles again.
“Sorry, sir, but I have to work.”
The man holds Chinen’s wrist.
“Don’t be shy. Now there’s no other guest, and it means that you have no work to do.” He insists. Chinen really wants to punch his face or kicks him away from the café, but again, he can do nothing.
“I’m sorry sir, but I really can’t.”
“Just for some minutes. I really want to talk to a cutie like you.”
“But I…”
Chinen can’t continue to speak because suddenly the man pulls his wrist and makes him sits on his lap.
“Please let me go, sir!” Chinen half-shouts. He’s panic now. He realizes that the man has a specific aim for him. The man now is hugging his waist tight.
“I’ll only release you if you promise you’ll accompany me after this. All night long with me.” He whispers on Chinen’s back, and Chinen knows, his voice is full of lust.
“I don’t want! Please let me go!” Chinen struggles. He tries to pull the arms away, but the man’s grip is too strong.
“I won’t. I want you for myself tonight.”
Now Chinen feels really scared. This man is so horrible and annoying. How many times he tries to pull himself away from the man, it is useless.
“Let me go!” The tears have rolling down now, but the man still holds him tight. When he is about to scream, there’s another voice beside him.
“Let him go!”
Chinen looks at the owner of the voice. He sees Yamada has standing there with an angry look on his face. A frightened look that he’s never seen before.
The man looks at Yamada with a mocking expression.
“You’re just an employee here, right? How dare you to command a guest like me, huh?” Yamada still glares at him.
“Let him go, old man!” He ignores the man’s statement before, and now he grabs the man’s arm tight.
“What if I say I won’t? I’ll have him for tonight.” The man insists. Yamada tightens his grip, and the man screams in pain. “Argh! Damn you, little boy!”
“I’ve said, let him go!” Yamada repeats. The man looks at Yamada’s glare, and he sees Yamada’s I’ll-kill-you-if-you-keep-insisting look. He snorts, and releases Chinen, who immediately runs away from him.
“Now, go away from here!” Yamada still send his death glares to the man a;though he’s released his grip. The man looks at Yamada.
“I’ll do that without you ask. Don’t think I’ll come again to this café, you little bast*rd!” He yells before then goes out from the café and walks away from there, still staggers from drunkenness.
Yamada still glares at him until he can’t see the man again. The he turns his head to look at Chinen who is curled into a ball in the corner now. He walks closer to Chinen, takes his wrist, and makes him stands.
“Tsuyoshi! Please go to the front! I’ll go out for a while! I promise I’ll come back soon!” He shouts to Tsuyoshi who is in the kitchen.
“Eh? What about the order?” He replies from the kitchen.
“Cancelled!” Yamada answers before then pulls Chinen and goes out from the café. There’s a small path between the café and the building beside, and Yamada pulls Chinen to follow him going there.
“What were you doing?” Yamada asks immediately with serious expression.
“I just served him as the other guest…” Chinen answers cautiously. he’s still afraid seeing Yamada’s expression.
“How could you end up on his lap if you just served him as usual guest?” He asks in sarcastic.
Chinen looks at Yamada in disbelief expression. He feels pain on his heart. How can Yamada don’t believe in him and accuses him instead?
“I said the truth! I was handing the order note to Tsuyoshi when suddenly he called me! I thought he wanted to add the order. But he pulled me instead!” Chinen tries to explain.
“Why didn’t you punch him or slap him like what you’ve done to me before?”
“The rule says that the guest is the king! I can do nothing with that!”
“What if I didn’t come? You can be fucked by the pervert man tonight!” Yamada says that clearly, makes Chinen shivers again. The scared thought about being rape by the man comes again to his mind. He remains silent for some seconds.
“But then you came.” Chinen says in a small voice.
“I’ve said before, that the uniform doesn’t suit you. With that uniform, you’ll attract more pervert men like him!” Yamada says. Now his voice is softer.
Chinen takes a glance at Yamada before then looks down. So that’s the reason behind his mock before. Yamada knew, that someday the scene like this would happen if Chinen insist to wear the costume.
“Wakatta. Arigatou for saving me, and gomennasai.” Chinen says in a small voice. He knows, he’s too naïve to think that there’s a possibility for an incident like this. Then he feels Yamada’s hand on his head.
“You’ve got your lesson. So please talk to the owner to change your uniform into the normal waiter uniform. I don’t want something like that to happen again in the future.” He says.
Chinen nods. Now, he feels his face getting warmer and he realizes that he’s blushing right now. Fortunately, Yamada can’t see it because the street just has a dim light.
So, Yamada is still care and worried about him.
Chinen thinks it’s the perfect time to make up with him. Yamada doesn’t ignore him anymore, and maybe he can talk to him properly.
“Ano… Yamada…” Chinen calls him, and tries to look at Yamada.
“Nani?”
“Actually… I…”
Suddenly, Yamada’s phone buzzes. Since the owner knows that Yamada can works perfectly on his café and he can rely on him, he permits Yamada to bring his cellphone. Chinen just watches as Yamada picks the call.
“Moshi-moshi… What’s up, Tsuyoshi?... Ah, Aya is there?... Hmm… tell her I’ll be there soon, and wait for me. Thanks for telling me.”
Yamada puts the phone again on his pocket. He looks at Chinen.
“There’s someone waiting for me. I’ll be going first. You can just walk.” Yamada says, then runs to the café, leaving Chinen stunned there.
Chinen freeze on his spot after heard the conversation on the phone. Yeah, now Yamada is going to meet Kurida again.

“I’ll do that without you ask. Don’t think I’ll come again to this café, you little bast*rd!” He yells before then goes out from the café and walks away from there, still staggers from drunkenness.
Yamada still glares at him until he can’t see the man again. The he turns his head to look at Chinen who is curled into a ball in the corner now. He walks closer to Chinen, takes his wrist, and makes him stands.
“Tsuyoshi! Please go to the front! I’ll go out for a while! I promise I’ll come back soon!” He shouts to Tsuyoshi who is in the kitchen.
“Eh? What about the order?” He replies from the kitchen.
“Cancelled!” Yamada answers before then pulls Chinen and goes out from the café. There’s a small path between the café and the building beside, and Yamada pulls Chinen to follow him going there.
“What were you doing?” Yamada asks immediately with serious expression.
“I just served him as the other guest…” Chinen answers cautiously. he’s still afraid seeing Yamada’s expression.
“How could you end up on his lap if you just served him as usual guest?” He asks in sarcastic.
Chinen looks at Yamada in disbelief expression. He feels pain on his heart. How can Yamada don’t believe in him and accuses him instead?
“I said the truth! I was handing the order note to Tsuyoshi when suddenly he called me! I thought he wanted to add the order. But he pulled me instead!” Chinen tries to explain.
“Why didn’t you punch him or slap him like what you’ve done to me before?”
“The rule says that the guest is the king! I can do nothing with that!”
“What if I didn’t come? You can be fucked by the pervert man tonight!” Yamada says that clearly, makes Chinen shivers again. The scared thought about being rape by the man comes again to his mind. He remains silent for some seconds.
“But then you came.” Chinen says in a small voice.
“I’ve said before, that the uniform doesn’t suit you. With that uniform, you’ll attract more pervert men like him!” Yamada says. Now his voice is softer.
Chinen takes a glance at Yamada before then looks down. So that’s the reason behind his mock before. Yamada knew, that someday the scene like this would happen if Chinen insist to wear the costume.
“Wakatta. Arigatou for saving me, and gomennasai.” Chinen says in a small voice. He knows, he’s too naïve to think that there’s a possibility for an incident like this. Then he feels Yamada’s hand on his head.
“You’ve got your lesson. So please talk to the owner to change your uniform into the normal waiter uniform. I don’t want something like that to happen again in the future.” He says.
Chinen nods. Now, he feels his face getting warmer and he realizes that he’s blushing right now. Fortunately, Yamada can’t see it because the street just has a dim light.
So, Yamada is still care and worried about him.
Chinen thinks it’s the perfect time to make up with him. Yamada doesn’t ignore him anymore, and maybe he can talk to him properly.
“Ano… Yamada…” Chinen calls him, and tries to look at Yamada.
“Nani?”
“Actually… I…”
Suddenly, Yamada’s phone buzzes. Since the owner knows that Yamada can works perfectly on his café and he can rely on him, he permits Yamada to bring his cellphone. Chinen just watches as Yamada picks the call.
“Moshi-moshi… What’s up, Tsuyoshi?... Ah, Aya is there?... Hmm… tell her I’ll be there soon, and wait for me. Thanks for telling me.”
Yamada puts the phone again on his pocket. He looks at Chinen.
“There’s someone waiting for me. I’ll be going first. You can just walk.” Yamada says, then runs to the café, leaving Chinen stunned there.
Chinen freeze on his spot after heard the conversation on the phone. Yeah, now Yamada is going to meet Kurida again.
