Okay... tryin' to catch my breath here. Bear with me.
I just got back from seeing Kick-Ass -- like, literally, just got back. The movie ended fifteen minutes or so ago. (The theatre is down the street.) And I'm still shaking. I totally don't know what I really think about the movie, but Maes called and I was like "ARCADEPLSINEEDTOJUMPUPANDDOWNFORAWHILE." Seriously intense, serious adrenaline, but half of that may have been just me. Time will tell. I'm gonna go see it again.
HUSBAND, WIFE, TED, DIANA -- this means YOU GUYS. Let's go see it.

*Okay, so the violence. I admit, I was totally scared of this movie, 'cause I'd read the graphic novel and I knew just how bloody the original story was. And I mean worse-than-The-Werewolf bloody. And then the papers and the TV were all saying the movie was horrifically violent and had "ear-splitting profanity." So I was worried. We even DIDN'T go see it after we hijacked our friend and promised him we would. e.e;; TED I OWE YOU.
ANYHOW... it's violent like Braveheart is violent. Like, there are loooots of acts of KILLING, but not like realistic-Pulp-Fiction or The Wolfman-gross. Just... lots of death. And of course, an 11-year-old girl is doing most of it, but that part's just SWEET. XD
SO OVERALL: Not as bad as I thought it would be. The profanity is totally normal profanity that kids and mobsters use, and it didn't distract from the film at all. Go check it out.
And then go running or kickboxing or something, 'cause you'll need it.
P.S. COLONEL BASTARD, WHERE ARE YOU. I AM TOTALLY IN THE MOOD TO KILL SHIT NOW. COME HOME. RAJA CAN HAVE YOU LATER. >O
