Hello again dear reader, it sure has been a while, hasn't it.
Here is a recap of some time between that last time and this time.
I went to Berlin. Stayed at a cheap hostel where my room was half-empty, and I didn't really meet any other cool guests (aside from me, you know) but that was fine, since I was pretty run-down from going out every night/every second night since like Prague; I used Berlin to catch up on much sleep - as well as seeing Berlin, of course. It was pretty sweet, I thought. Non-commital opinion goes here.
Then I went to Hamburg, whch was great! I met these two cool english guys who were in my room, and we assembled the forces for going out - first night we just went to the harbour and sat around. Next day I went on the free walking-tour, but the guide wasn't very good (4th or 5th tour ever) and it started pouring down, so we just abandoned half-way and set-up for the evening. The evening was supposed to be a pub-crawl in the Reeperbahn, but the guide never showed up (same guy) so we just went to a couple of bars and then I danced too much.
Then these two guys were going to Copenhagen and I'd be considering it, so I did. Pretty similar story in Copenhagen; went around town during the day, went and climbed some church tower with a spiral staircase around the outside all the way to a big globe at the top, very cool. Went to the hippy commune-eque suburb which is kind of subject to different laws apparently - they have stalls set up selling weed and hash, and people just sitting around getting high. Kind of odd. Also went out and danced too much again, sore legs for life.
Oh and the statue of the little mermaid in Copenhagen? The famous one, you know? Not actually in Copenhagen - interesting fact! It is actually in... Shanghai. Yeah there is some weird thing where copenhagen sent the statue to Shanghai for an exhibition or something, they have a giant tv-screen set-up in copenhagen over the rock where it should be with a live feed of the statue in China. Um, what. Why would you send a tourist attraction to the otherside of the world? Stupid city.
Now I'm back in Hamburg, leaving tomorrow for Cologne. Back here because there was some festival that was supposed to start here, month-long, the day after I left for copenhagen. However I might be too tired to go to find it - last night I went out and we met these three germans who were going to go jump a fence and have a swim in a public pool - so I joined them. At 2am. Like a half hour walk from the hostel. On the plus side the pool was heated :)
Um yeah, that's me. Probably some more stuff happened but I can't remember it, and I'm such a bad blogger.
Catch you around.
