Icon Tutorial 07: Frosted Arwen Icon

This tutorial was requested by _hushed_art for the icons made in this post. It will create icons in the following style. Note: Step 12 has been edited to tell you what the layer was supposed to be set to.

Here are my results:




Not nearly as pretty as yours, but it was interesting to see how curves could change the color! I don't think I've ever used curves before, so it's kind of neat to learn something new. ;)

They're still lovely, though. :) You used one of my favorite paintings in the second one. :)

I'm still a little intimidated by the curves feature, but tinuviel428 has several well written tutorials that use them. :)

Awwwww, I appreciate that from you! ;) And the painting is lovely--I think I was actually introduced to it from one of your icons. =)

I ought to check again that tutorial you linked to--last time I checked some of the images were showing a "Photobucket Bandwith Limit Exceeded" image. =( But maybe it'll work now! ;)
