...except my alma mater, Cedar Shoals, who moved to 2-0 on a win over hated Clarke Central, 27-14. the Dawgs got beaten by Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks of South Carolina, 16-12, and the Chiefs lost to the lowly Houston Texans by a count of 20-3 ( Read more... ) -

Lamar Hunt (1932 - 2006)
Some somber news from Dallas, TX tonight... The NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs have lost the heartbeat of their storied franchise tonight with the passing of Lamar Hunt, Founder of the old AFL and Founder/Owner of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was 74. We will miss you, Lamar. Thoughts and prayers of Chiefs fans everywhere are with your family.What a weekend...Thank you, Jesus!!
Well, overall, the weekend was great. Except that My Chiefs lost AGAIN!!! They're 7-6 and about to be an afterthought in the AFC playoff picture. My fantasy football team is going to end up a crappy 3-11 season. I had my top three draft picks out for six weeks (or more) due to injury: Shaun Alexander, Willis McGahee, and Trent Green. Well, I'm happy! A perfect fried turkey, good food, and a better football game. The Chiefs move to 7-4, and win out on the tiebreaker between them and the Broncos due to a better division record. KC won, 19-10, on Larry Johnson's 157 yards and one TD, Lawrence Tynes going 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts, 1-for-1 extra point, and the Chiefs giving ( Read more... )
