Encounter - Shihan
A/N: for pingu_pingu who correctly guessed my ninja pairing.. it became longer and angstier than expected.. but I hope you like this one.. click the link for the letter.. it is part of the story!
Siwon gently folded the letter and kept it inside the secret compartment of his wallet. He glanced outside the plane windows and rested his chin on his hand and smiled to himself.
“Please fasten your seatbelts”
The plane landed on Beijing international airport and Siwon stood up, wore his coat and dark sunglasses before going out of the plane to hundreds of awaiting fans. He waved at them before boarding a black SUV that brought him to his dorm.
He was in China to film a movie he was co-starring in. He’ll be playing a supporting role for Zhai zhai in this modern fairytale movie. Filming would commence after the production crew had already finished with the set-up and other stuff so he had a little time off to himself. He decided to take a stroll in the city to finally experience the city life of bustling Beijing. He was much revived to witness the different sights and sounds of Beijing, although he wished there was a certain person who he would want to spend it with.
It was getting dark and he was getting hungry; he yearns for someone’s cooking and no it’s not Ryeowook’s. He stepped inside a restaurant and ordered some dumplings which were served a little later. HE was recalling so many memories as he happily ate the dumplings.
A little later, another person wearing a similar colored coat entered the building and went straight to the door to the above residence of the owner. Siwon’s mouth hang open and the dumpling he was holding with his chopsticks slipped and landed on his very expensive coat. The kind owner handed a wet towel when she was surprise to see such a familiar face. So as not to make a commotion, she asked Siwon to come with her to the living room upstairs, siwon agreed.
“Shiyuan.. oh It’s so nice to see you.. let me wash that coat for you.”
Mrs. Han was happy to see the person he considers as her son. She insisted that she should wash the coat so as not to ruin the expensive coat.
“it’ll take a while so you could wait for me in here as I go wash this..”
“really Han-mama.. you shouldn’t bother yourself..”
“no.. it’s ok.. sit..”
Hanmama disappeared somewhere and Siwon sat in the sofa and stared at the picture hanging on the wall; it brings back so many memories.
“ma..”
Hangeng went down from his room to find Siwon sitting on the sofa, eyes fixed on the portrait.
“hello..”
A familiar voice brought back Siwon to reality.
“oh hello.. I was just..”
Siwon reluctantly smiled at his hyung.
“heard you’re doing a movie here”
“Yah.. just a minor role, nothing too big..”
“work hard..”
The younger just nodded.
“uhmm I guess I’d better go.. manager hyung’s probably looking for me”
Siwon made something up to excuse himself. Hangeng was very emotional now for he longed to see those perfect eyes that only highlights his handsome face.
“ha.. where’s shiyuan?”
“left already.. “
“oh.. but his coat..”

Siwon was focused on his acting as everyone demanded highly from him; he was none other than an Asian sensation and therefore he must live up to that title. Fan surrounded the streets of Beijing as the cast and crew shot one of the highlights of the movie, Siwon would transform his friend, who happens to be the lead star of this movie, from an ugly duckling to a very pretty swan.
Tension hung in the air as the director shouted.
Lights.. camera.. Action!
Siwon and the rest of the actors were all in place, acting out their respective parts. It was a scene before the party where the three of them were all busy preparing and transforming the lead actress when a lone gunshot was heard. A block from the filing site, a burglary occurred and one of the thieves had openly fired. There were screams and all took cover. When the situation was over, they all breathe in a sigh of relief and proceeded to continue with the filming when Siwon lay there silently.. no movements. The lead actress screamed as a pool of blood started to form on siwon; he was shot.
“call an ambulance..” the manager quickly instructed the crew.
Hangeng who was watching the filming was about to leave when he heard the gunshot; he looked back to check on Siwon, he was hurt. Insticnt took over.. well it was more than his heart dictated to him what he needs to do.. he run to Siwon who lay there silent and still.
“Siwon, hold on.. you can make it..”
Hangeng was now in tears as he tried to stop the bleeding. Siwon opened an eye and smiled at his hyung who came for him..
“hyung.. “
Siwon muttered with much difficulty.
“Don’t speak, reserve your strength.”
Soon an ambulance arrived and wheeled in Siwon. His manager stopped HAngeng from going with them but instructed him to inform the Leeteuk.
“Hello.. LEeteuk speaking..”
“hyung it’s HAngeng..”
“oh.. why are you using Siwon’s phone anything that matter?’
“HE’s shot.. an accident.. Siwon’s shot…”
Hangeng was pretty much panicking now. Leeteuk was all too surprise at the turn of events but one: he was happy to hear from Hangeng and two.. what? Siwon’s shot?!
“Hello.. hannie.. breathe.. you do know you are still a leader and you can handle this.. you’ve been gone for so long but I know Siwon really misses you.. in this time that you should be a hyung and leader for him.. besides Hannie.. you still love him..”
Hangeng was speechless for a second
“of course I do love him..”
“then do what you have to do.. we’ll be praying for you and Siwon.. and HAnnie.. welcome back..”
Hangeng took a cab and wet to the hospital where Siwon was being treated. He obtained a through and through on his left shoulder but will be pretty much ok. The nurses handed him Siwon’s things and Hangeng stared at for a little while. Included in these items was the letter Siwon kept on his wallet. Hangeng took the letter and read it.. He was surprised to know that Siwon had kept this for so long. Tears were evident in his eyes as he entered the room where their manager sat and Siwon was fast asleep.
“have you decided already?”
His manager’s face was expressionless.
“yes.. I’m coming back..”
His manager stood up and patted the Chinese guy on the back and muttered
“Welcome back.. now it’s time to settle your feelings.. I’m not that evil as you think I am.. I knew you liked him ever since.. that’s why I suggested SJM in the first place.. Hangeng.. don’t make a mistake you’re going to regret ok.. this is your last chance.. do it right..”
HAngeng nodded as his manager left the room. He approached the sleeping siwon and brushed away the hair off of his handsome face. Siwon stirred and opened his eyes.
“hyung?”
Hangeng nodded and just smiled
“I’m fine you don’t need to worry..”
Siwon tried hard to sound cool and everything but it doesn’t fool ahngeng.. he knows him too well
“are you sure?”
Siwon nodded..
“Then I guess you don’t need me now.”
Hangeng turned his back and took a step away from the bed when Siwon stopped him by grabbing his hand.
“so you’re leaving me again.. are you that much insensitive?”
With out looking back, HAngeng replied..
“I guess I am that insensitive.. I never really knew how to express myself in front of you.. I know it’s so wrong.. falling for you is so wrong..”
“I never regarded you as my brother..”
Hangeng was surprised to hear that from Siwon, maybe he misinterpreted his kindness, maybe it’s just some sugar coat.
“I’ve always wanted to be your lover”
Siwon finished up and let go of hangeng’s hand.
Hangeng stood there in surprise as he turn to face Siwon.
“you.. do.. I mean.. how.. i.. “
“I love you.. is that so wrong?”
Siwon asked and Hangeng knew that he found the missing puzzle piece.. He was never searching for the his other side, he was searching for his better half.. the one who is now lying in bed and staring back at him with passion in his eyes.
Siwon pulled the older guy and hangeng willingly lied next to him; even embracing the Chinese guy as they both sighed and fell asleep in this manner.
Outside their manager were all smiles as he dialed some numbers.
“Helo sir.. yes.. He’s fine. I have good news.. SJM’s activities can resume.. yes sir.. immediately..”
