It's a marshmallow day in the winter...
So far this year I have been doing the following things:

  • Running - I’m working on doing 1000km this year. That’s about 12 miles every week, which is entirely doable for me. That is, completely doable providing that I don’t slack off and not run.
  • ','caption', 'My fantastic husband' );">Eddie and I had a long-needed date night on Saturday. We went to The Outback for dinner, but left when we were told it was a 50-minute wait time to get seated, and walked across the parking lot and went to Ruby Tuesday instead. Dinner was eaten and we hit an earlyish showing of True Grit, which was fabulous.
  • We had a snow day last week. The snow started falling on Tuesday night at around midnight, and didn’t stop until late Wednesday evening. When all was said and done, we had around 16″ or so in our yard. No one left the house until around 3pm, when ','caption', 'My fantastic husband' );">Eddie braved the roads to buy Mom and newspaper.

  • The Peter Rabbit box, made with 8 sheets of paper and around 8\
There has been an abundance of origami. If it’s flat, I’ve been folding it. This includes newspaper, glossy ads from back issues of Cosmo, an issue of one of those hairstyle magazines, a children’s book, and a comic book, but oddly enough no actual origami paper. While I’ve done some small critters (a dragon, a mockingbird), I’m really loving modular-type origami, and have been making boxes. I’ve made enough of them for ','caption', 'My fantastic husband' );">Eddie to see me pull out the paper cutter and and “Are you making another box? Why more boxes?”
  • Pondering a domain name change. I’d like to get back one of the ones that I used to own, but it doesn’t expire for another year, and there’s no guarantee that I could get it back anyway, so I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much.

And since I have nothing else to say, I leave you with a video of Mal playing fetch with me.
