Dangit
We got Brawl on Sunday, and it's been a super fun game, etc etc. I played on a team with one of my friends for a good six hours or so and we kicked a lot of ass together. When another friend asked to join in, we switched it into a free-for-all fight and let at it--and that's when I discovered the terrible truth.
1.) Because I had never stopped playing Melee, I still had a lot more practice in the Smash Bros game than the others, which helped me win almost every round we played together
and
2.) My friends are really competitive.
So now I don't want to play with them because I'd rather like to avoid another evening of getting glared at or having people roll their eyes and say, "Oh look, Cheryl won again." It sort of, y'know, sucks.
