And can we as of now start two cults? The Deanicans and Samists will war with each other for ages, it'll keep 'em popular. Nothing helps recruiting like blood and sex.

Seriously, post-Shadow, it's really hard for people to look at Daddy Winchester and say that he's the same awful guy that we've been arguing about. The fact that he is *human* makes him so much more interesting. He loves his boys, but he's also incredibly flawed (um, Dean's *dying*, hello?) and the fact that his one real weakness is his sons doesn't really leave much room for the whole, "he used them like tools" argument any more.

So, it follows that people who side with Sam would be all "DADDY SUCKS!" and people who side with Dean would be all "DADDY RULES!".Speaking as someone who openly and frequently admits without shame that I see the entire show through Dean-colored glasses, right from the start: I went through a period of DADDY SUCKS. Because, you see, being all Dean-centric, it *tore me up,* the tearful voice mail message and Dad not being there. For either of them, but y'know, it's gotta hurt Dean worse that Dad's not there, because he's the eldest, the loyal one, the dutiful one, the good son ( ... )
