2 strikes but we didn't strike out!

!!

St patties day was shaping out to be a total bust.  The deejays on the radio were talking up the tv on the radio concert, so i convinced kyle that we should head out that way.  And once again, not getting tickets + getting there last minute = sold out show and a total bust of a concert effort.  ((especially with the ATM madness that transpired beforehand.  I suppose I should set up this story a bit better.  I think it was about 6:30ish that we made the concert decision, got ready and managed to be out of the house at 7ish.  Trucked it to the plaza to grab some cash as we were going to the casino and they are all anti-credit.  waited in line for the drive up atm (WASTE OF GAS!) some old woman in front o fme appeared that she did not know what she was doing at the machine.  she eventually pulled away and it turned out that she wasn't just a moron, the atm was broken.  Being as it was a holiday, had to drive up to the 5th floor of the parking garage before i found a spot so i trucked it from the 5th floor down to the bottom for the walk up ATM and ran back up again.  Even running, the process took a half an hour.  Then it was 20 minutes to kyles and still made it to Harrah's by 8.  We about died a couple of times, but the white car on the highway was the nicest car ever and i'm very certain that that added good karma.))  So then we were all the way out there and we decided to try bowling, right, because it was in the same neck of the woods.  But, bowling was the second strike of the evening.  Lots of old drunk folk who were in some bowling league.  We were too early for cosmic bowling, but there was still like 45 minutes before the bowling leagues ended.  It was silly.  The adventure took us to kyles abode to pick up scooter (el coche) and then back to my place to drop off both spike (my coche) and scooter and for a walk down to the plaza.  We ended up at Tom Fooleries which turned out fabulously!  It ended up that they had this big st. patties day thing going so I got green beer!  I was totally stoked.  We dyed our own beer last year, but having actual green beer is so much cooler.  :)  Fun drinking times with the kyle even if the bomb drinks weren't quite as festive as they could have been (special cups? wtf man.  without a shot glass to drop, lots of the fun is sucked right out.)  There was even maximally awesome greasy fish'o'chips that were incredibly enjoyable (mostly because of the green beer ;) ).  Great festive night out overall.

Yesterday I spent the day with the discovery channel on while I read my pathology.  And I must say, I fell in LOVE with bear.  The dude on man vs wild.  He is seriously a beast in the best of ways.  He can roll up to some random plant and find some incredibly useful purpose for it.  He can free climb up amazing surfaces.  He ate ants, rabbit, everything but the head of a snake, plants, and he climbed up a tree and picked FRESH AVOCADOS!  He was all "if i had to be stranded on a dessert island, this is the one food i'd want to being, or well, this and chocolate."  Plus, he has a british accent and wears hot underwear that he looks damn good in.  But alas, he's married and I'm dating.

Also, I've decided the guy on dirty jobs is lame and annoying.  He's thinks he is so great and just has this air of "why am i stooping to your level?" abotu him.  But really, nobody would know him if it weren't for his stoop-age.  Moron.

since it is sunday, i'm chillin' in leggings and an oversized sweater.  I know it sounds strange, but legging are very freeing.  Unabashed let all your wobbly bits be on display for the general masses.  Plus the supercomfort.  mmm.  Though I think with dressing up every day, that wearing t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, scrubs, etc has become an unbelievable luxury that i relish in at every opportunity.

Oh and I made the MOST amazing turkey burgers yesterday.  Hauled the george forman out onto the balcony and grilled them out there, avoiding the dreadful burgery smoke.  Good thinking, emily!  I think adding the egg to the meat was the secret?  I don't know.  Garlic, chopped jalepenos, chilipowder, salt, basil.  omg they were juicy and delicious.  I may not be able to cook worth a darn, but my turkey burgers rule!

My cousin is about to get married.  ya know, the cool one cousin that lives out in California and is an up and coming hollywood agent with his gf who is a social worker.  They have cute dogs.  They were high school sweethearts who reunited.  And they both look totally adorable in designer clothes without even trying to be hip.  Its sick in that "omg i'm so jealous" type of way.  Anyhow, they are getting married in June.  They are having a "kitchen shower" and they sent out recipe cards and you're supposed to fill it out with your favorite recipe and gifts that help to make such food.  Adorable?!  completely.

Okeedoke, time for eating!  peace out.

Hugs for everybody!
