Looking for a roommate
I'm relocating to Chicago January 1st, and I'm furiously scrambling around trying to find a place to stay and a roommate. I've been looking at Wicker Park, Bucktown, and the Lincoln Park areas primarily since I need to commute downtown to attend classes a couple nights a week. I want to get a 2bed/ 2bath place with parking for hopefully 800 or less a month, including utilities. This rate is once I split things with another person, not just rent by itself.
I guess I should say a little about myself. I'm 22 black female. I enjoy reading, writing, traveling. I can be shy until I get to know someone, once I do it's a whole different story. I enjoy going out quite a bit, bars, clubs, cultural/musical events you name it I'd probably be up for it, but I will need some down time. So I can study, sleep, be silly, or procrastinate. =)
I'm looking for a roommate who respects other people's property, pays bills on time, and isn't horribly messy. I don't mind some mess but I can't deal with a place that looks like a hurricane went through it.
Doesn't matter if our interests aren't exactly the same (I'm looking for a roommate not a twin) just as long as we can get along (and the criteria above is acceptable to you). So if you're already in Chicago and your lease ends in Jan. or you're gonna be a newbie like me and need a roomie, feel free to contact me.
