I'm so glad they didn't drag out the Bae!Neal reveal, because everybody and their mother called it. Instead they got it out of the way quickly so they could spend time on the emotional impact.
The reveal of what August showed him was kind of anticlimactic but in a LOLworthy way, so.
All the Rumplestiltskin flashback scenes broke my heart, omg. All of them. But then on the flip side I really enjoyed the scenes with Gold opening up to Henry, so.
"Were we friends?"
"We spent some time together."
Seriously, Regina? Seriously? Also, while I get knocking-Belle-out-magically, I don't in any way understand why you needed to go through her bag magically. You couldn't just take things out and put them back the usual way?
(Also, writers, for real, stop introducing Belle into a scene so she can say five words and then you knock her out what is up with that)
I want to own Hook's coat. And also Emma's scarf. And Emma's coat. Okay, all the clothes.
"So Rumplestiltskin is Henry's grandfather?"
"Apparently."
"But I'm Henry's grandfather."
"You can have more than one."
ENDLESS LOL.
Neal kept Emma's dreamcatcher. D:
That was a bad moment for Neal to walk in. Certainly didn't improve his opinion of his dad any.
This episode is making me flail over how much Rumple fails at everything he sets his mind to. I will be a great hero! I will be a great father! I will make amends with my son! Yeah, not so much.
"How do you two know each other??"
"Mom? What's going on?"
AND THE PENNY DROPS.
AND NOW EVERYBODY KNOWS THE TRUTH.
"If you truly want her deal to be fulfilled, you have but one choice."
Oh, Gold. That is not the way to convince your kid you've changed.
I am still less concerned with the fact that Greg is sending out proof of magic than that he is sending it to "Her". Why wouldn't you put the woman's actual name in your phone, Greg? Why?
And then I started shouting at the TV for Regina to see through Cora's lies. She's lying to you, dammit!
"He was a thief, a liar, a bad guy."
And now I'm wondering if this is going to come up in the Rumple/Bae reconciliation.
"I can turn the clock back. Turn you fourteen again."
Oh, jeez. You're very dumb, Gold.
"I don't get closure, so you don't either."
...
"Time's up."
You should've expected it, Gold, just sayin'.
Man, the Seer is creepy. The Seer may be the creepiest invention of this show.
Aw, I like that Emma points out that Neal has the chance to break the cycle with Henry. And that he really wants to try.
AND THEN WE END WITH A CREEPY PROPHECY ABOUT HENRY. Thanks, show. Thanks loads. The juxtaposition of "Then I'll just have to kill him" with Gold's obvious affection towards Henry helps a little.
Wait, March 3rd?? WHY SHOW WHY
