For all the fabled DC continuity right now, the (characters') response to the "Sacrifice" storyline was released ass-backwards. While I understand why SUPERMAN and ACTION COMICS had to set up their own plots, it was...irritating. And when I got to ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, I
wanted to scream. Recappity bastards!
I feel the need to put things back in order.
Obviously, this is the sort of thing only an obsessive fangirl would do. But if you'd like to enjoy the ride, here's some things you need to know to understand these scans: what happened in
ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #642 and
WONDER WOMAN #219.
Mondo spoilers for SUPERMAN #220, ACTION COMICS #830, ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #643, and WONDER WOMAN #220.
What happened from Superman's POV:
Wonder Woman's POV (note: fill-in artist and colorist mean interesting art. Diana's eyes are blue here, for some reason, and then grey later in the book):
Diana fights a nuclear meltdown and has a talk with Ferdinand (incidentally, the shower scene is the most exploitive panel I've ever seen in a Wonder Woman comic. Despite having the most beautiful woman in comicdom as the main character, the title doesn't usually stoop to this level):
Clark finds out that Soylent Green is people:
Diana searches for a traitor, who verbalizes a lot of stuff she's worried about:
Diana tells Bruce what she's done. (Interestingly, while Supes was narrating his experience to Lois, Diana was narrating everything to Bruce. Is it fangirlly and wrong to make that parallel? Yes? Okay.):
*smacks Bruce upside the head for being an ass, because his mama ain't there to do it*
Clark tries to apologize to Bruce, and Bruce just about redeems himself with his response:
Clark tells Lois what happened and she tries to stay cool:
Kon-El has a heart-to-heart with Clark ("woe, for we two are susceptible to being mind-controlled!") and accidentally lets slip the fact that he has two daddies:
