Tokyo Sinfonietta plays the ringtone of one sleeping superstar. As the ringing tone increases with time, he grunts and pulled his blanket to search blindly for his phone, his eyes closed. He regretted playing Fruit Ninja in his phone until late night and forgetting to put it on the desk instead of falling asleep with it so now it was nowhere to be found.

When he finally found it buzzing angrily inside the pillow case, he flipped it open without reading who the caller was. “Open the door, dammit.” He recognizes the voice as his best friend Jin and tiredly he dragged his feet to the front door, opening it to reveal a man with a bored expression.

“Good afternoon!” Jin yelled and Yamapi winced from the loud voice.

“The fuck…” Yamapi dropped his head on the pillow as he tried to go back to dreamland on his couch. Jin frowned and jumped on top of the sleepy man, earning a loud groan from the latter. “Fuck, Jin I’m not one of the whores you fuck. Get off~”

“Wake up!” Jin shouted loudly while bouncing up and down on Yamapi’s back.

“Y-Yes, I-I’m awwaake aalreaaddy!” Yamapi choked on every word.

Jin snickered. “There’s someone I want you to meet.”

Yamapi rubbed his eyes. His sleep had long left him. “Who?”

“You’ll see. He’s a fanboy of you!” Jin said excitedly. His mind was imagining Kame’s face when the younger boy sees his best friend.

“A fanboy?”

“Yup. See you later at 47. He works there.” Jin added before standing up.

Yamapi groaned. “All this waking up to tell me this? He’d better be worth meeting, Bakanishi!”

“Don’t worry. He’s totally your type.” Jin waved.

“I’m not gay, for the thousandth time!” Yamapi roared but he only gets loud cackling before the sound of the door of his house closed.

-

Waking up next to an empty space wasn’t what Nishikido Ryo always finds himself with. The morning kisses showered all over his face, giving a wake to his systems especially the organ in between his legs was what he was usually looking forward to.

Apparently not today.

Kame wasn’t anywhere to be found as he sauntered lazily around the household. There was a note on the table, the least his lover could do without telling where the latter went.

Off to school.
You look really tired that’s why I didn’t wake you up.
Go back to sleep.
-Kame

Ryo smiled at the note and pushed his feet back to the bedroom. He slumped on the bed, almost into oblivion before the sound of his phone brought him back and with an annoyed click of his tongue.

“What?” Ryo had his eyes closed.

The person from the other end of the line chuckled. “Well good morning to you too.”

Ryo sat up awake. The sleepiness had long gone since the voice from the person reached his ears. “Tatsuya…”

“Your boyfriend is here with me.”

Ryo froze. What was Kame doing in the infirmary? “Did he get into a fight?”

“Why don’t you come over and see?”

He was hung up on.

Ryo jumped into his jeans and slipped into a pair of blouse before he ran out of the house, stepping on the pedal so hard as if he was on a race track.

There were two things on his mind as he drove: 1) How did his boyfriend end up in the infirmary where Tatsuya worked at? 2) Is Tatsuya planning something?

Possible scenarios were playing in his head and the more he came up with, the faster he wanted to reach Kame’s university.

-

Less than half an hour later, Ryo arrived at Kame’s university and particularly the infirmary.

“Kame,” was his first word as he pushed the door opens into the room. The next thing he knew, he was facing his affair and his boyfriend sitting opposing each other and Kame was smiling and laughing while Tatsuya was talking apparently about something funny.

Kame stopped laughing and looked at the intruder, surprised when it was his lover. “Ryo…?”

Ryo saw Kame’s left arm wrapped in a bandage. “What happened to you?”

Something flickered in Tatsuya’s eyes as Ryo hurried over to his lover.

Kame shook his head. “Nothing, I just fell. That’s all. Ueda-san here helped me with the bandage. He was worried of broken bones and told me I should get myself checked at the hospital.”

“How did you fell? Where else did you get yourself hurt?” Ryo asked with his eyes never leaving the younger boy.

Ueda watched the pair before standing up and turned to keep himself busy with the clinical apparatus on his workplace.

Ryo brushed his hand over the younger boy’s hair, completely oblivious to his affair lamenting quietly. They were about to leave before Kame stopped. “Ueda-san, thank you.”

Ueda turned politely to face the couple but his eyes laid on the older of the two. “It’s my job.” Ryo’s eyes reflected remorse and Ueda had to look away for awhile.

“Ryo, I have to go to the toilet. Can you wait for me here?” Ryo nodded and kissed Kame’s cheek.

“Take a seat while waiting.” Ueda said nonchalantly.

Ryo approached closer to Ueda and caressed the other’s face. “Tatsuya…” Ueda’s lips were so close to his and Ryo couldn’t help but placed his own onto the other. As their lips touched, Ueda thought it was wrong and the risk of being caught is beyond high so he pushed Ryo away but Ryo just wouldn’t budge.

“Ryo, s-stop…” Ueda spoke in Ryo’s lips. Ryo’s grip was too strong and when he bit Ueda’s lower lip, the latter let out a moan and as he did, Ryo wasted no time in pushing his tongue in before sucking on the other’s sleek muscle.

Ueda’s moan gets louder and his excitement increases as his tongue was being stroked slowly, in his mind he knew how dangerous this is but the fear of being caught made him even more eager to want to continue.

They broke the kiss when both needed air in their lungs. Ueda panted and wiped the drop of saliva trickling down his lips with his thumb. Ryo moaned inwardly at the sight that brought into his eyes.

“Kamenashi will be back soon.” Ueda sit down behind his desk and breathed deeply to calm his nerves while Ryo tried to act normal as he took a seat, waiting for his lover.

Following outside the infirmary, a student leaned on the wall and looked up the ceiling as he heard everything from the room behind him. His eavesdropping had literally answered the question as to how did Ryo knew what happened to him. Tears fell down his cheeks as he sobbed quietly in the empty hallway.

“Ueda Tatsuya.”

-

“I really think you should quit the job at the club.” Ryo said behind the wheel as he drove the younger boy home.

Kame appeared not to hear as his face turned to the window.

“Kame?”

Kame closed his eyes and sighed. “What?”

“You okay?”

Kame frowned and nodded. “It’s the arm.”

“Can you drop me off at Uchi’s?”

Ryo wanted to protest but Kame’s face when the latter looked at him was sober and what seemed like a deliberated calm composure. He turned into the corner leading to Uchi’s apartment.

He was driving along the streets so expertly with every corner memorized in his mind as if he owned it.

Ryo’s car stopped at the drop-off. “What time will you be home?”

Kame opened the door without giving a proper answer. He slammed the door and walked quickly towards the elevator.

To say that Ryo was taken aback by Kame’s attitude was an understatement. Worry flooded his mind. Could it be that Kame already knew…? Ryo threw his head harshly back on the head protector of his seat. He would make everything right again. He would get back his Kame.

-

“Kame-chan, would you tell me what’s wrong?” Uchi tried to get Kame to speak but he was only replied by the sound of the water from the shower.

Kame had walked into his house, pressing the door bell with obvious impatience and ran into the shower first thing when the door was opened by a concerned Uchi.

“Kame, please…”

Kame sighed deeply, his hands from both sides of the sink supporting his body. Stupid tears were falling from his eyes again. He looked into the mirror, his own reflection. He didn’t look healthy at all. He wiped his face harshly from the tickling drops that he stained his cheeks red with the rough gesture.

He stood there for awhile before wetting his face and turned off the shower.

Uchi was there waiting for him when he stepped out of the room. “Kame, what’s wrong?” Uchi pulled him into a room and took a dry towel for him.

Kame wiped his face and his wet strands of hair with an expressionless face.

“Can I stay here for a few days?”

Uchi could see his from the face of his best friend, the boy wasn’t looking alright. “Why?”

Kame closed his eyes. “Don’t ask, please.”

Uchi nodded understood and took new sheets from the cupboard. “Get yourself something to fill your stomach, I’ll change the sheets for you.”

Kame wanted to say something but Uchi cut him off with a stern look. “Eat.”

The younger boy disappeared into the kitchen and fetched himself a sandwich and a glass of orange juice while Uchi pulled off the old floral-patterned sheets and replaced them with a clean lines-printed one.

Kame then took a real shower this time in the bathroom and patted his cheeks to keep himself awake. All those damned tears got him into a sleepy mode. He still needs to work.

So he changed into a pair of long loose and black pants and an almost oversized t-shirt. Apparently, those were the only clothes from Uchi that would fit him. The pants were so loose that Kame had to walk weirdly to keep them up so that his boxers wouldn’t show. He was lucky to be working behind counters so he wouldn’t need to walk so much.

“Kame-chan, please take a rest. Your arm doesn’t look good to go.” Uchi said when he saw Kame winced a little when the latter accidentally knocked the bandaged arm on the wall on his way out from the room.

Kame shook his head. “No. I’ll be fine.” He assured his best friend and put on his shoes. He needed distractions from the pain on his arm and his soon-to-be ex-boyfriend.

When he got downstairs, he wasn’t really surprised to find Ryo waiting in the car, occasionally looking up at the windows on the eleventh floor.

“What are you still doing here?” Kame asked a little irritated.

Ryo noticed his boyfriend standing on the passenger side, all dressed up.“Kame. Where are you going?”

Kame clicked his tongue and mumbled under his breath. “None of your business.”

Ryo purposely pretended not to hear but chose to ignore Kame’s harsh attitude. “I’ll drive you there.” He offered.

“Don’t have to.” Kame turned on his heels and started walking.

He wasn’t even a hundred metres away until Ryo’s car made a sharp turn and stopped in front of Kame. “Get inside. I’ll drive you there.” Ryo’s voice hinted to Kame that the older man had lost his patience and Kame didn’t want to make a scene so he got into the car quietly.

They were silent throughout the ride. Ryo was thinking of ways to explain to Kame while the latter only thought of creating new drinks; his mind occasionally drifts to Ryo and his affair but Kame hurried to steer his thoughts back to concentrate on drinks.

It was a silent hell with Ryo sitting next to him, there was no way his mind wouldn’t stop thinking about Ryo and Tatsuya.

Ryo parked his car and pulled up the break. He got down the car before Kame did. The younger boy didn’t want to talk to Ryo for now so he only pretended to not give a damn when Ryo entered the club.

Jin was greeted with a pissed off Ryo and behind following suit was a frustrated Kame. Jin had a smart idea that something had happened between the couple and as much as he would like to feel sorry about it, he was feeling hopeful. Hopeful that Kame would be wise enough to drop out of the relationship. Jin didn’t like triangle love affairs. In Ryo’s case it was a square so Jin didn’t like it all the more. He only wished his friend something better - and Kame had become his best friend.

Just best friend, for now.

-

Kame started making the drinks. The orders are coming up pretty fast and he had to keep awake because sleepiness was starting to kick in and the cigarette smoke in the room wasn’t helping very much.

Ryo sat a few seats away from where he stood and then he saw Jin keeping him company.

“I did some pretty bad shit.” Ryo said to his friend.

Jin nodded and listened as he played dumb. “The frown, yeah?”

Ryo nodded and downed himself a glass of beer. “Slow down, mate.” Jin said.

“I cheated on him.” Ryo said again as he stared at Kame shaking the drinks with an unreadable expression. Ryo sighed.

“But there was no way I was at fault. I love all three of them. They are all important to me so how can anyone expect me to let go? Uchi was so forgiving, Tatsuya was so wiling and Kame… Kame is too precious.”

Jin felt his anger rising as Ryo continued talking.

“Kame is really nice. He’s the nicest person I’ve ever knew. That’s why I couldn’t lose him. He’s almost everything to me. I didn’t plan to fall for Uchi. It just happened like that. He came up to me when I was alone at home and like I said, it just happened. I thought of Kame too, like how he would take it if he knew his best friend did it with me. I mean, of course I did thought of Kame’s feeling but I just - just couldn’t help myself and Uchi gave me what I thought I’d already had with Kame.”

Jin balled up a fist on his lap.

“Tatsuya and I - I never thought we were meant to be, not at all. He was at the right places and at the right timing, you know? He was there when I was at Kame’s university and looking all hot under that white doctor uniform. When Kame told me he went home already and I thought I’d just be nice and accepted the offer from Ueda for a dinner and - and just -“

He couldn’t continue anymore as his face abruptly came in contact with a fist. The punch got a few attention but the witnesses did nothing and only continued doing what they were doing.

“That’s enough.” Jin said and pulled Ryo up from the floor.

“What the fuck was that for?” Ryo shouted.

Jin took Ryo’s car keys from the counter and placed them under Ryo’s palm. “That, my friend, is what I think Kazuya should give you. Now go home and sleep.” Jin walked away calmly.

Kame was too busy preparing drinks to notice Ryo left the place. He was met with a grinning Jin when he looked up from the glasses under his hands.

“You worked too hard.” Jin eyed the bandage on Kame's arm but as the younger boy appeared to be acting casually with a bandage like that, Jin assumed it to be a small matter. He dropped the urge to ask Kame about it. Not when the younger boy had no comment about it anyway.

Jin hoped Kame wouldn't be avoiding him or anything over the kiss. He only did it because he felt like it. Because he really felt like it.

Kame smiled. “You should be glad.” Seeing Jin again reminds Kame of the kiss the night before. he brushed off the thought. Jin drinks a lot, the older boy probably only had too much to drink and had forgotten all about it.

“Oh, I am. I am glad. Are you still going to university?”

Kame nodded. “Yes, why?”

Jin creased his eyebrow. “How do you cope? I mean, you work here for nine hours from 9 to 5 a.m. so you must have like a limited time for sleeping.”

Kame was happy that Jin cared so much. “Thanks for your concern but don’t worry, I have it all under control.”

Jin frowned and waited for a better answer. Kame sighed.

“Look, I get my sleep at 5 a.m. and I go for my class at 8 a.m. and that’s like three hours of sleep, which is more than enough if you ask me. My classes end at 2 p.m. so I get to take another three hours of sleep after 5 p.m. because the three hours after 2 p.m. I need to use to do my assignments.”

“Is my answer this time enough for you, boss?” Kame asked smugly.

Jin nodded. “Much better. But it’s not even healthy. I mean, three hours a day of sleep? That’s hardly enough. Maybe I should let you off early…” Jin wondered.

“No! Please don’t. Don’t cut off my time. I don’t…” Kame trailed and bit his lip. Should he tell Jin? He was afraid Jin would find him disturbing with the kind of suffering he had to go through every night and he didn’t even tell Ryo about this. He decided to tell anyway.

“I won’t cut your pay, if that’s what you’re worried about.” Jin added quickly when Kame seemed to be contemplating.

“No, no! It wasn’t like that. Truth is, I… I have a weird habit of not sleeping. I mean, it’s not exactly what you would call insomnia because I do sleep. Just… not that long.” Kame passed the drinks to Koyama who placed them on a tray before sending them to the customers.

Jin nodded understood. “Oh.”

“I’m strange.” Kame laughed softly and slipped a strand of hair behind his ear. Jin noticed that Kame looked so hot when the lights shone on his face.

He cleared his throat. “Um, can you make me a glass of Boilermaker?”

Kame nodded and smiled sweetly. “Your wish, my command.”

Jin felt heat rising in his body when Kame said that. In his mind he imagined Kame saying that on top of him, naked without even a piece of clothing on his body and rubbing their erections together.

Jin gulped at the thought and cleared out after he was given the drink. He downed the glass and asked for another. Kame’s eyes widened but followed the orders nevertheless.

The older man had done not only girls but boys as well and being the picky one he is, he’d make sure they’re clean and classy because he only wanted those that reaches his standard, usually virgins. One look of Kame, he could tell the boy only had sex with one person. That one person that Jin had earlier almost knocked the lights out of.

A man under black shades walked in, his body language clearly implying he didn’t want any attention. When he sees a familiar face, he fastened his pace not without difficulty since the people there were all over each other and he had to squeeze in between people making out which was almost disgusting for him.

He panted softly when he took a seat next to Jin. Pulling off his shades, Kame almost dropped the glass he was holding. “Y-You…”

Yamapi smiled and extended a hand. “Yamashita Tomohisa.”

Kame didn’t hesitate to take the hand and shook it without showing the response he thought he would. It wasn’t without hard effort that Kame had to hid his excitement and his desire to scream out loud at the meeting of Yamapi.

“K-Kamenashi Kazuya.” He gulped.

“Kame-chan, eh?” Yamapi winked and Kame thought he could die in peace.

“You can call me Yamapi.” He smiled.

Kame nodded and blushed deeply. Yamapi’s voice was just like in the songs, obviously but Kame loved it more when he could hear the superstar’s voice live. Jin chuckled at Kame’s adorable reaction as he watched throughout the whole thing. Kame was too cute.

“Would you like to drink something?” Kame asked boldly.

Yamapi made a thinking face and Kame couldn’t keep his eyes off the other’s face. Yamapi was just too handsome.

“How about a Quick Fuck?” Yamapi asked aloud.

Kame could feel more blood rushing to his cheeks. He calmed his nerves, telling himself that it was just a drink, not an offer.

He couldn’t trust his voice anymore as he only nodded and Jin only laughed louder as he saw Kame’s face on Yamapi’s order.

Jin made a mental note to tease Kame with this too, someday.

Kame started mixing the drink and when he passes the drink to Yamapi, the latter took it and as he did, their hands brushed on each other’s.

Kame thanked all love that’s holy for tonight. Everything before Yamapi appeared had long pushed away to the back of his mind.

Yamapi took a sip of his drink. The taste of the liquid burns as it traveled down his throat. He realized that this was the most perfect cocktail he had ever tasted. “This is really good.” He commented.

Kame’s eyes widened. “For real?”

Yamapi nodded and took another gulp. “Really good.”

Kame was so happy he was sure he wouldn’t be able to sleep at all tonight. “Thanks.” He said shyly.

“He’s my best cocktail maker.” Jin added a praise that also added extra deep colouring of red on Kame’s face.

Kame smiled before going back to work on other orders leaving the two best friends.

“Jin.” Yamapi said.

Jin turned his eyes from the dancing crowd. “Hm?”

“I- I think… I think I’m in love.”
