I have tonsillitis, and I went to the grocery store today, desperately seeking cough drops to help ease the ache on my poor tonsils. While there, I saw a Harry Potter sign, and it really occurs to me - Isthere a store not selling Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince? I swear, by the time Book 7 comes out, Harry Potter and friends will probably be within spitting distance of the Bible in the units sold race.
Out of curiosity, I wanted to see how long the line is to read it at the local library, and I'd be about 800th in line if I tried to sign up now, apparently. Wow.
I think I'll probably wind up buying it if I can find a good deal on it - but I don't think I'll go get it on the first day. It'll probably be a mad house, which I'm rather keen to avoid.
On a happy note, I also hope that Harry Potter will push the Da Vinci code down down down and hopefully, eventually off the list. *shudders* Why do people continue buying it? The writing is so pulpy, and ...not even good pulpy. I swear, you could sketch those characters out on a cocktail napkin in 72 point font and still have room left over.
