okay, we've pretty much fully moved to the new apartment now. will's parents generously donated more furniture and bought us a few things from ikea, including NEW DESKS. both are 5 feet in length.. so much space! and yes, this is a big deal for the both of us, as we've been stuck sharing the same desk for the past 2 years.
and as much as i love him, sitting within elbowing distance of your beloved does get a little tiring after a while, now i can spread my art stuff around me without it getting in his way. woo! :p i know he feels the same way.

we've a convention coming up to attend, and my good friend (who is also my new upstairs neighbour, along with his wife) has been spending some of his valuable holiday time elbow deep in fibreglass dust to help me make this,

*.* i will have a cosplay prop at last, AND IT IS AWESOME. the job of painting it will fall to me, a task i shall accept with much glee. i get the task of clearing up all the fibreglass from his kitchen in payment. :p good thing i have a dustmask!

i now realise how true it is when people say how stressful moving house is. still, the new place is feeling more like home as each day passes, and fingers crossed that eventually i'll be exhausted enough to have a full night's sleep sometime soon. ^^; thankfully the apartment has double windows, which cuts out a lot of noise from the cars outside and the people chilling out at the icecream shop's benches that are only a few feet from my bedroom window.
yes, i live next to an icecream shop that also serves chinese takeaway. the temptation is dreadful, but the total lack of income right now holds me back. :p a good thing for both of our waistlines!

which brings me to the job hunt. or the lack of response from job hunting. most places wave me away due to not knowing french, or having the right sort of brain type that can learn another language in a month. i'm not the one to flail my disability card, but i can't exactly put it on my CV.
blah, i'll keep hunting. surely there's still jobs out there that an english speaker can do?

a few friends have asked for commissions for felt toys, which will keep me busy. :3 huzzah!
