Does this mean you're making a costume for AX this year? :O

hahaaaaaa-- I wish I had the time. I'm going to be recycling the ones I have. Don't have enough time to start *and* finish one. :T

Ah, I see. Time is always a bit in short supply these days isn't it? :'3

Oh well, nothing wrong with using an old costume. :3 d

Ahhh so educational. You, know, I almost ruined my jacket cause I was just gonna use super glue on that part where I wanted to sew that hole I was telling you about. Then I called my sister to ask if it was ok. And she called me stupid. :(

Now here's my quandry. Is it true that if you use super glue on fabric that it might destroy it because of the high toxicity? I somewhat imagined as I was holding that tube of superglue in my hand that it would melt away my sleeve...now if I'm incorrect there...then I feel doubly stupid.

hahaa, turns out it actually could be even worse chibi_bahamut June 14 2009, 00:23:45 UTC
Well, I initially thought it would be OK to use superglue (albeit not a good idea since there is glue specifically for fabric on the market), but after some quick research, it turns out it's not only a bad idea, it can be potentially dangerous due to an exothermic reaction!

Not that anyone should be using that much glue on cotton, but...this is what happens

Also, it apparently damages the fabric and may actually cause the hole to grow even larger. so go for fabric glue or E6000 instead.
