The sleep deprivation is bad, so is the forgetting to eat because you're studying, but wanting to think about something other than your studies because it gives you warm fuzzies and it's all you want to think about is worse. I don't know how that makes sense, that I can ignore basic physical needs, but ignoring higher tier Maslow stuff is harder.
I'm beginning to think that dating and getting A's is a mastery of self-control and multitasking- you're able to concentrate on your studies when you need to, and then pay attention to the relationship you have with this other person (mind you I've been neglecting the most important primary relationship in my life BECAUSE of school)...
And if you choose not to get involved with anyone, the drama from the fallout (if there is any) can be potentially distracting. So, you're screwed either way.
