You can't fight in here- It's the War Room!

It's a beautiful day. I'm sitting outside (which makes it hard to see what I am typing) in the warm sunny sun. The only thing that could make it better is a couple cold beers.  Unfortuantly I have decided not to drink until after my track meet this saturday. So no green beer for me tonight.

Today my heart dropped into my stomach. I got an E on my South African History proposal. My professor loves my topic idea, he just marked me down for writting the proposal in outline form. I thought that was what he wanted. And what does the format matter as long as the content is good. I put a lot of research into it and the outline was quite detailed. So fusterating. I'm going meet with him tomorrow to try to explain myself.

Huh I actually get internet service out here. Nice.

Watched a great movie in my Cold War class yesterday. Dr Strangelove. Were witty but mocks the US military. I loved the names of the characters - General Faceman, Comissioner Kissoff, and the names of the H-Bombs "Hi There" and "Dear John". My favourite scene: A sergent was trying to reach the president in a phone booth but didn't have enough change to get the call through. So he tells the Colonel with him to shoot the lock off the Coke cola machine off to get the change. and the Colonel was like "I can't do that, it's private property" and the Sergent was like "What else would you use a gun for? Shoot!" and the Colonel goes "Alright, but if you don't reach the president you are going to have to write a letter of apology." "To who?" "The Coke Cola company"

Wow some people fail at wearing green on St Patricks day. How unfortunate.

Oh and Star Trek for the win. My friend downloaded all the seasons of every Star Trek series.

Okay random side note: a barage of cement trucks just went by, blaring their horns. Holy Shit they're still coming. oh. I get it, it's for St Pattie's day. They all have shamrocks painted on the sides. I didn't know there were that many cement trucks in Vermont. That was pretty epic.

ANyways back to Star Trek. I spent most of the night watching random Voyager episodes. I hope my grades don't sufffer because of this. Naw. but my free time will. My friend calcuated that it would be over five days of constant Star Trek goodness.  Unfortunatly now both my harddrive on my laptop and my external one are full. But it's worth it.

Okay, time ot nap in the sun before class.

beer, history, star trek goodness
