(no subject)
My ankle is sore from skating
My shoulder aches from tennis
And now my knee is throbbing from track
yesterday I had an epic fall. My hammer throw was so bad I canapulted myself out of the throwing ring (we were finally outside!) and did a nose dive into the mud. Unfortunatly my knee caught the lip of the ring so now its scratched and swollen.
Did the splits in ice skating today. I was impressed I actually made it all the way down but now I'm concerned my groin is going to hurt tomorrow. My skating teacher asked if I was going to be throwing in the snow this weekend (since Vermont is supposed to get a foot tonight) and i was like, "I don't have a meet this weekend so I am going skiing" haha. we ended up having a long conversation about skiing after class and how her son turned her backyard into a terrain park. haha. my ski hill (back home) is a mile away, its pretty much my backyard.
So yesterday I was leaving the art building after class when this kid grabs me and is like, "I just chased you down three flights of stairs. I'm in your art history class." um ok, Islamic art hst? I thought he had mistaken me for a basic art hst student, their class had just gotten out too, cuz I had never seen him before. He was like, I missed class and was wondering if I could get the notes off you for the test. and I was like okay... but instead of asking for my email, he asks for my number. then he goes "I'll call you later" and runs off. It was weird. I have never even seen this guy before and I am not the only one who types my notes for the class. But he was cute. So he texted my that evening and asked if we could just split the study guide and share it the next morning. I get a text from him around 2;30 (while I was napping) so i jump out of bed and frantically finish it and then answer the text, pretending I just got out of class. He hadn't even finished his part yet! I didnt get his half until two hours later and there is still a couple of things missing. And mine was way better, I included pictures of the art/architecture. Whatever.
I am obessesing over The Decemberist's newest cd. I love that they sing about historical events. It makes the history nerd in me very happy.
