because I love talking about sports

I am so sore as to barely function right now and tomorrow has the possiblity of being worse. But it is worth it because it is tennis. Monday night tennis was AWSOME. (as expected) The only problem is, I seem to nolonger know how to play. I could not for the life of me get any baseline shots to go in. Go into the net, yes. Go out the back, yes. An actual decent hit, no. I was very excited when it did happen. My serves however, only took one game to warm up and then I was very consistant in acing them. Luckily everyone playing seemed a bit shakey so I didn't look like a total Fail. And of course my partner was AWSOME. She is so adorable and damn good tennis player. There is no way I have any of the ball control she does. But I do have a lot of power - heh serves and overheads.
But alas the conequences of not playing in a year. An extremely sore shoulder, a shooting pain from neck down my spin, tight hanstrings, sore sore sore quads, and no core. As I told my roommate last night, I am a puddle (which she took to mean i was laying in a puddle and thought it hilarious) I collasped in bed at 10 last night and lay there with the lights on. When my roomie came up an hour later she asked me why I hadnt gone to sleep and I told her I was waiting for her to come up and turn the light off. Good thing she came up when she did, usually its not until 1 or 2 am. haha
Having a sore body is not conductive for good ice skating either. Today I almost fell on my ass and my instructor told me to use more core. I told her I was to sore too. She thought it was cuz of this past weekend (another story about a semi good hammer day and an awful discus day) and I was like yes that and tennis. Which sent her off on an adorable tangent about how tennis is relatable to ice skating. after class she turned to me and said, "you do track, ice skating, and tennis?!" eh I like to do a lot of activities. My class cut into all the good stuff I could be doing.

Going to West Point this friday/saturday. At least according to my coach i have a 98.9% chance of going. I guess the 1% is a miraculous recovery by one of the girls who has a clusterof cysts on her ovary. Poor thing. I'm not happy she is injured/sick, but I am happy to get the chance to go. This will be a fun meet.  Unfortunatly I have two essays and an exam next week. like i said, classes cutting into my time.

ice skating, tennis, track
