Dear body, why do insist on getting up at 7:45 when church isn't until 10? I woke up thinking 745 was actually 845 and was like "Ok I have about an hour to get ready" then about 10 minutes later I realized I actually had 2 hours and grrrrred in fusteration.
But it's Easter morning so it's ok, I have a good feeling about today (even if I dropped the carton of almond milk on my toe). For some reason I got really excited about Easter. I'm not too religious but I'm going to church this morning (even though my sunburn is going to look awful with my dress) and I FINALLY got to open my Easter package. It has been sitting in my room since friday morning and I was practically wiggling in anticipation to open it. It was like I was a kid again, creeping down the stairs to sneak a peek at the colorful baskets the "easter bunny" left on the kitchen table.
Interesting contents of "basket": Workout shorts and tights (nice nike ones), socks (I NEED more socks), a handful of jelly beans, a dark chocolate bunny (It's my sister who likes dark chocolate, not me. I prefer milk or vinalla please.) and some plastic eggs filled with m&ms. Not a bad haul. Mainly practical but with enough chocolate to keep me happy.

so yesterday - crazy.
Get up early for a 3 hour bus trip to new Hampshire. I had a great time throwing hammer. It was already blaring sunny and hot by the time I threw and I slapped a bit of sunscreen on the shoulders and face. I PRed twice! by over a meter! I am almost to 110'. Coach wants me up past 115' in the next couple meets and I Know its obtainable. After hammer we had to chill for at least two hours waiting for discus.
This being New Hampshire and all, were the track and throwing pits etc all used to be farmland. So in between the shotput pit and the hammer/discus cage was a burial mound. It had two gravestones of Jack and Elizabeth White. d. 1875 and 1877 respectivly. So we camped out on one side of the mound just below the crude fence that blocked off the headstones. So I basically took an 1 1/2 nap on top of some dead people.
During the course of my nap and the day, i got crazy sunburned. Really good tan lines too.
Lines 3/4s down my thighs from the spandex shorts
Awkward crisscross lines from my sportsbra and tanktop,
A fat line across my wrist from my watch
A thin line on the other wrist from a hairtie
And my favourite: the outline of my cross on my breastbone from my necklace.
I am sooooooo red. It doesnt hurt to bad luckily and its already fading into a nice tan. What bothers me is that I DID put on sunscreen. oh well.
We got home about 8:30 which was perfect because I had promised my girlfrind to go to her boyfriend's concert. He plays trombone in a band called Bearquarium. So I sucked back five beers in rapid succession as I got ready. We got there around 10 and the opening band was still going strong. iLa Mawana was a pretty chill band. The only thing was it was very loud and I was very tired. So I ignored my friends I was with for the most part and just swayed to the music and checked out the few single guys I could see.
Finally Bearquarium came on. The crazy dancers pushed to the front and the further back from the stage, the less people danced. I was about two rows back and was getting into it. The funny thing was, everyone danced in their own space. Unless you were a couple, pretty much on one touched. To bad I was hopeing to grind on some guys. But I was also falling asleep were I was standing. I danced the most out of my friends, the other two girls just swayed. The band was good. Very chill, kind of a blues rock.
Five beers and all day at a track meet took it out of me. I ditched with one friend after awhile. I would have stayed if I had a little more sleep and a few more beers. I crashed almost as some as I got home. but still a successful evening. I also figured out that the more I drink the sexier and narsasstic I get. o_O.
