Ok, it's time fo' another entry.
It's been a hell of a week/weekend.
I had fun hanging out with all of the peeps I did, and I enjoyed meeting new people as well.
I REALLY enjoyed the time I spent with myself!
(author's note: not to diss on the time I spent with others)
You know, if you were to ask me 365 days ago to describe in one word what I thought Seattle would be like, I would have said:
"solitude".
I put alot of value into that rare time that I'm in the mood to think about EVERYTHING to myself. I truly believe that it is the path to maturity, and so I wish it'd happen more, but it slowed drastically since I've been in college. Probably because I really don't get as much time anymore where I have literally NOTHING to do (even though I'm not bored ~_^ ).
Deep Thought of the Week aside, I got to wander along Capitol Hill today/tonight, and saw some FANTASTIC sights. I truly believe it now when I say that i have found the BEST view in the entire Seattle area. I'm keeping it to myself however until the time is right...
I ran into one of those guys you can always dodge or run away from in the city today. I was at a bus stop that I couldn't leave though, so I figured I'd just use my skills at the whole talking thing.
It started out with this guy walking down the street sorta dancing to himself. (not the "oh cool he's headbanging" dancing. the "oh my god he's dancing. And walking toward me." dancing.) I put my headphones away and turned off my iPod, because the dumbest thing you can do when anyone who can be a threat to you approaches is turn up the volume and hope it'll all go away. I usually just take one earphone off, but this dude freaked me out. For real.
So he finishes closing the distance, and opens up right away with "so you got an iPod huh? All I have is a CD player." (my mind: "FUCK! HES GONNA JACK MY IPOD!"). Anyway, he continued to apologize for dancing weird instead. He said he'd just had a rough week until today, and just freed himself from some burdens (my mind: "oh, I haven't tried LSD yet; I wouldn't know"), and he just wanted to jam out freely on the road. I decided to just play it cool and talk to him like I would any normal fella.
Turns out he's a hardcore environmentalist who likes gansta' rap. He also likes to greet EVERYONE that passes by. which of course adds to the sacry factor. He was alright though, and the bus eventually came.
LSD man went to the back of the bus, and I abruptly took my seat next to the driver. We chatted it up about God until the U District, where I got off and wished her good luck with her problems. (why is it that random people always tell me their problems? It's one of the things I like most about my life, but I can't figure out why they trust me with it? Maybe I don't look scary enough.)
following those experiences, I had the highlight of my day: DINNER WITH KRISTIN AND JACKIE!!! ^_^
(author's note to Jackie: can I just call you guys Kriskie?) heh, I kinda like that...
We had fun chatting it up, and went back to our dorms.
IT'S BEDTIME!!! w00t!!!
Until fate crosses our paths once more, I bid you farewell.
