Well "upgrading" meant, no service for the night. That sucked. But after 45 minutes of working with Tech support, the problem is fixed and we are again among the surfers. I hear that is considered an addiction.

Back to the tech support. The first guy I talked with sounded like he was very far away, the static on the line said that one. Well he told me to bypass the router and just connect the modem to the computer. done. He asked me 5 times my modems' make and model. I felt like I was registering a car. After we found he couldn't figure out the problem he sent me to billing. She in turn said she had no clue why he sent me to her and transferred me to DSL Tech. Wasn't that where I was in the first place? But this time I got a woman who asked my problem and redirected my call to a man. This time it sounded like he was at least on the same continent. This one let me know that I did indeed need the router because my modem was so old it just worked as a gateway of the service but the router did all the work. He reset some settings on his end and I hit restart on my end and VIOLA. I am back to irritate you once again.
