Sorry for the wait, I was in the midst of moving and fraught with angst regarding IRS and ex-employers :D
MEME and TAG! (You do not have to do it if you don't want to! No harm, no foul! :D)
Here's the rules as I understand them: Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 random things, facts, goals, or habits about yourself. At the end, choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave them a comment (you're it!) and to read your blog for instructions. You can't tag a person who has tagged you. Since you can't re-tag me, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can read the answers!
1. Coffee is THE major food group.
2. I was in a rockabilly band (as well as the alternative/punk band). I love being introduced to new music, preferably upbeat... My music tastes range from Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scherezade" to Alice Cooper's "Poison" to Jon Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, Nickelback, Weird Al Yankovic, Cher, Shania Twain and Dresden Dolls...not to mention all the j-rock and j-pop.
3. I pursue both the watercourse way and the way of the wise woman popularly known as the Tao and Witchcraft... My ex introduced me to philosophy and my paternal grandmother introduced me into the Way before I hit 13. :D
4. I am a survivor. Child abuse, various forms. Marital rape (it was called duty or 'conjugal rights' back then). Of an auto accident that left me with every rib but one broken and 17 stitches in my cranium... And like the girl in Dresden Dolls (I think that's my current anthem now) I've not only survived but I like to rub it in their faces by being happy.
5. I am a you tube addict. I became ensorceled by the Saiyuki vids and have been introduced to some wonderful new music I would never have tried if not for them.
6. I consider myself a liberal, but I don't swallow the entire liberal party line.
7. I am not vegetarian but rarely eat meat. Chicken, fish and eggs are occasional delights. I *was* vegetarian for 14 years.
8. I love to travel and hate to move. :D I dream of hiking across Europe and also of visiting Kiev, Moscow, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Ireland, The Louvre, yaoi_con and the two new anime cons in AZ.
9. I like manual work. Even though I now have calluses on my hands I've lost more than 20 lbs at my new job. It's better than a gym membership. :D
10. My youngest grandson was diagnosed with a rare breathing condition when he was born. We were told the chances were slim to none that he would survive his first year, but that if he made it past four years, he could outgrow the condition. His first year we spent more than 127 trips to the ER with 60 of those being in his first four months of birth before we hit a doctor who realized that there really was something more wrong than a paranoid new mother. Brenden is now 6. *cheers wildly and throws confetti*
BONUS: LoL... now that I'm talking...
11. I dream of becoming a doujinshi-ka like PL Nunn one day and perhaps even a manga-ka.
12. I am notoriously shy and withdrawn. I would make a wonderful hermit. I have a very difficult time talking socially with anyone. Small talk is the bane of my existence.
13. (Because 13 is my favorite number) I continue to suffer major writer's block and think it's mostly due to fear of expectations. Dun...dun...dun... and most of my readers are long gone...lol... so what's the problem?

Please don't kill me, but I just don't know enough really close friends to do 10, so some of you all have just been kind enough to allow me to watch your journals and you really, really don't have to do this.
I just wanted to as a kind of catharsis. :D
