We'll be looking to move soon now possibly up to South San Fran where I can catch a BART train. Bear got a job at Yahoo down in Mountain View such that moving to the east bay no longer makes sense with the impending school year.
My commute will likely be in the neighborhood of 2.5 hours each way every day. We aren't near BART, so I'd drive to the station daily.
Still, getting a San Mateo Bridge fast pass would be more money than I can afford on top of gas and car maintenance and once again the time involved in getting up to the Oakland hills during Rush hour every day will make me totally insane and eat into whatever time I might even theoretically have for studying.
However, driving up to the Bart station 1/2 hour each way on top of paying for a BART pass seems ludicrous as well ( hence the 2.5 hours each way) to get to campus in the Oakland hills. I'm just not really sure what to do. Supposedly people can read on the train and then bus, but BART is SOOOO loud, that I don't think I would be able to and that takes up most of the journey. There must be a better solution that I'm just missing. Anybody have any ideas?
