So now I have to watch the Karate Kid...

This past week in Health class lyricalecho and I have been studying depression and suicide. So there was this part that you were supposed to talk someone out of committing suicide if they were about to jump off a building. You were supposed to ask them all these questions, like "How long have you been planning this?", and "What are your plans on doing this?" The best one by far was "On a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to commit suicide right now?". Then when lyricalecho and I were leaving math class, we were debating as to how Mr. Svendsen would answer the last question. We thought he might say something like, "I think it's about a pi chance right now", but then since we knew that his favorite number is e (OWWW my sense of humor), we thought it would be like e to the pi degree. Then lyricalecho was like, "Well, I'm really only imagining this suicide thing, so I would have to say I rate an i." HAHAHA  Math jokes!
Yesterday, I was home with my mom, because my sister is at some retreat/Nature's Classroom thing, and my dad was at work. I got home from my Youth Group Stations of the Cross readings, and we sat down to watch some t.v. I finally begged my mom to let us watch the new How I Met Your Mother.
See, I really needed to see the episode, because I saw the intro to it on Monday, but my mom was like, "Ohhh...it's live, and I hate commercials...let not watch it now." To which I screamed, "But it's Neil and I neeeeeed to see him!!!!" (Mom: "He's gay, get over him"). So I was very patient, and waited all week to see it, and needless to say, I was very excited when I got to watch it.
So the intro to HIMYM starts with Barney in a bar with the rest of the group, and Barney gets up to go suddenly. The rest of the group thinks that he is going to his girlfriend's house, and they follow him. But when they get there, it turns out that he was going to his mother's house. When they get in there though, Barney says, "This is my wife, and my son" (then it goes to annoying commercials). So naturally you're like OMG NPH IS MARRIED!, but it turns out, his mom got really sick, and Barney just wanted to make her happy. To do that, he hires an actress to play his "wife" and a boy to play his 'son" Tyler. There are a few inevitable accidents which lead to Barney's mom seeing that he really isn't married, and he has no kids. The ending joke is that Barney and the group is sitting in the bar, joking about who Barney roots for in the movies. Barney says he roots for some evil blonde kid in the Karate Kid, and the Terminator machine in Terminator. So I just thought that that was sooooo cute!
